with buffalo, pittsburgh and the islanders coming up this week (monday, wednesday and thursday) i think by Friday we'll have a good idea of what this season is going to look like

But that's RFA price. Not UFA price. Especially for a guy like him. Nonis is making the smart decisions. Start to lock the roster up that will be here awhile...and plant the seeds around the league for the guys who won't.

yeah, if he produces at near the same rate as last year he would of scored a hell of alot more on the open market.

Ya, like I said, he put up 50 points twice in his career.

Very reasponable deal for Joff.

He's rewarded for his play over the last season and a half by getting a 1m$ raise over his last deal, which I think is fair.

Hopefully Kessel doesn't ask for more than a 1-1.25m per year raise.
