Isn't that movie George in Seinfeld was freaking out over? The episode where Jerry got stuck baby sitting some drunk guy's huge dog Farfel? George wanted to see Prognosis Negative but Jerry had the dog to tend to.

Can't wait to see Gardiner back also, will really add a much needed dimension to the D. I thought Liles was just ok last night, but hard to tell after one game...I think Gardiner, if he comes back will be the Leafs best all-around defenseman, but his injury definitely is a tricky thing.

A guy like Del Zotto could be in the running too. A lot of things can change in just a year. One thing is for certain, their team will be sick...they could have two amazing teams.
- blahman20

Doubt MDZ makes a running.

We're pretty set as far as blueliners are concerned.

I'm not sold on Seabrook and Keith being on the team, personally.

It's not even a case of time left to do the deal. It has to do with projecting whether Phil wants to remain here, and what demands he makes.

Like buddy there said, 7m is probably the minimum, and I don't think that's money well spent if he'd our marquee player, and hasn't played in the playoffs once for us

- AngryWhiteMale

Well Nonis's job is to find out if Kessel wants to re-sign here or not.

Rask will be a beast for them in net
- arnpriorguy

Tough competition in net.

Kipper still has it in him to play

Then there's Rinne

Nice problem to have if you're Finnish.

I jsut think that Price is our no. 1 going into next Olympics. Ward may steal the job if CAR really tears it up over the next 12 months, which is something that I think will happen as the Canes are stacked

Hypothetically,

If we end up with the 8th or 9th pick, I'd be willing to include that in a deal for Mackinnon.

8th/9th
Kessel
Colborne

________

Mackinnon
Jenner
2nd

I don't think I like MacKinnon anymore. I'm starting to like Barkov.

Encouraging to see him sign Loops at the start of his last season.

Shows you Nonis is trying to be as proactive as possible in deciding who's sticking around to make a contribution long-term.

Means he'll probably start talking with Phil once this season's done, and that's the way to go because if Phil walks for nothing then Nonis is basically screwed

LOL,

where the hell do you find these pics??

My point still stands

- AngryWhiteMale

His decision will be to overpay and keep Kessel. Any hope of him trading away players and continuing to rebuild is pretty much gone with the resigning of Lupul. These are the guys they are going to build around, for better or for worse.

The chemistry, and record of success ensures they both play together.

I'm banking on CHI really surprising a lot of teams this year.

I don't think they have the goaltending to go all the way, but they do have the tools needed to make the final 4

Yeah the fact he kept Lupul points in that direction.

That said, Nonis will probably start talking to Phil this summer in order to see what he'll want in terms of money.

I'm sure Nonis has a rough ballpark of what he is willing to pay Phil. He also has Dion's deal to consider. We could be tying ourselves up with a lot of money on two guys who haven't gotten us to the promised land.

Barkov does look like the real deal too, but I'd lean towards the Canadian, for obvious reason

I see MacKinnon's stock dropping him out of being the #1 pick. Good for the Leafs. Since the Leafs always screw up their draft ranking by going on winning streaks after they've been eliminated, if MacKinnon drops, perhaps the Leafs will get lucky & get him much llike the Flyers were darn fortunate when they got Couturier at the 8th pick.

I'd like to see the Leafs weasel a young goalie off somebody.

Dansk is worth a good look
