Their other goalie is pretty good to though.
If the leafs can take away the middle of the ice and not get caught standing still they'll be ok. Buffalo beat Philly with speed. They got a couple pp goals and a couple goals off the rush. I think our guys are quicker than Philly's for he most part, its a matter of them not getting caught. - burn
Every goal that Buffalo got besides the EN'er was on a PP or 4-4. How is Toronto's PK unit so far this season?
I don't know if we beat Philly with speed... I think we beat them with physicality and taking the body. Ott, Foligno, and Kaleta were hitting people all over the ice.. Ott had 5 hits alone. |

Compared to other big cities, it's pretty good in all regards. Very green(again, for a big city), slower pace than the big American cities, and once you're downtown, you can walk anywhere in half an hour, or jump on the subway and be where you need to be fairly quick. - Feeling Glucky?
Thank you for channeling my thoughts. We live downtown and there's more greenery than you could shake a stick at. I don't know where all the concrete talk comes from. I also like how the city is half modern and half oozing with old historia at the same time. But yeah, the pace, people seem to have the small town vibe with them.

Yeah like that is going to happen, people here are still harping on a trade from 2009. Move on? Dare to dream. haha - LeafMan
We're still harping on the Rask trade.
Hell, UG still brings up trading away the pick that became Niewendyk. |

i agree bozie is fine, i just mean his contract is up, what do we do if our #1 comes into play (say we got getzlaf)..do you move bozak out, or do you try to find him a roster spot? - big_dion
for me? leave him be and resign him if your play for a big FA doesnt pan out. worth the risk.. unless he has some sort of break out year.
bozak is decent.. but no tears should be shed if we lost him to free agency |

15 to 20 minutes from T.O and home to Pearson airport is a very green and nice city to live in, - LeafMan
I have not seen anywhere near TO, that is 15 minutes away, by car that is.. Again, I have a Mother in Oakville, Sister in Downtown TO, Step father in Mississauga, and I will stay right here in the Maritimes, and enjoy my lifestyle.

Leafs pk was ok. 4-5 against the habs. |

I wish it was half old. That's my one real gripe with the city, they pave over almost all the old stuff, so little history left here.... you got the Distillery, the Market, the Brick Works, and Liberty village, outside of that it's all brand new or poopty 70's architecture.
I guess you've got a bunch of victorian houses, but they;re all on side streets, and pricey as (frank). |

See this the misconception about the area, you can get away from everything in about 90 minutes, hundred of lakes, streams etc..., isolated areas, you just have to discover Ontario. |

Even if you don't have a car... Toronto itself has a bunch of big parks(don valley trail, edward gardens, high park, the island). Lots of people in the city(more the suburbs, actually) gripe about how there's not much to do in TO, but never take the time to actually figure out what they can do. |

The point is that everything is close at hand. The options are what make it truly great. You seem to think its big city or bust. Its not.
As Leafman said, put aside your ignorance and discover the area. No disrespect, but it seems you're coming off a stance of ignorance and stubborness.
If you truly had family in Oakville, you wouldnt be complaining about the feel of a big city. Oakville is evolving and changing, but im not sure what your issue is.
Im curious as to what it is you can do in the Maritimes that you cant do in Northern Ontario. |

They weren't garbage banging goals I agree..b ut they were set up by us playing a lot more physical.. the forecheck and banging of bodies made Philly take more chances with long passing.
I actually thought Philly looked faster than Buffalo for the most part especially with the puck i thought Philly was faster. |
