When was the last time somebody traded for the #1 pick prior to the draft?

The Flyers and Mel Bridgeman?

- 77rams

No idea. Google says he played up until 1989, a year before I was born.

The NHL should hold it's Outdoor Classic there one year. Now that would be a game worth watching.

Canadiens in 1980, although it wasn't certain to be the top pick. Sam Pollock traded with Colorado to get their pick that year, which was going to be Wayne Gretzky's draft year. The deal was made in 1976, I believe, Pollock was a brilliant GM

Actually, in 2003, Florida held the top pick and traded it to the Pens, along with a 3rd rounder, for the 3rd overall pick and a 2nd rounder.

I'm sure the Habs would've liked a do-over with that selection.

Think that was Foster that broke up the 3-2 that was forming.

Solid play.

Probably, although Wickenheiser had a good solid NHL career.

One thing i really dont like is Lavy's forcheck...

Its non existent most of the time... not ragging due to this game.. just in general..

I figure if i complain about everything... karma will benefit the flyers...

I don't understand that at all...

Is fighting allowed or not? And if they aren't allowed to fight then doesn't Foligno get the extra penalty for dropping them first?

Have to start ignoring Foligno. He has gone after Hartnell and is getting under Schenn's skin.
