They showed a stat on one of the games last night.. Minny has the most travel in terms of miles this year.. and it's not even close.. It was like 25k miles.. the least was NJ at like 11k and all the West teams had more thanthe East except for Winnipeg. I was thinking last night.. Jags had a great start and I love it but I think the travel will eventually take its toll on the old guy.. I can see groin and leg injuries all over the place.

I dont know, I watched the whole game and the Flyers did not impress me nearly as much the Pens.

I think some of you are way over rating your Flyers, but I guess we will see today.

I am not sure what to expect from the Sabres. They have Miller, they have a lot of talent and they got team tough.

I think I am where many Sabres are, not sure what to expect but with Miller anything is possible.
We are all excited to watch Grigorenko today as well.

Good luck.

Really? I missed yesterday's game but from all accounts after the first10 mins, the Flyers were solid including Bryz. Looked to me in the third, they had several golden chances to tie and just didn't bury it.. Seems Pitt and Fleury got the bounces...Not sure what impressed you about the Pens.. I expect a tough game from the Sabres today, but I think the Flyers have a shot.. These Home openers can lead to crappy games from the home squad.. just ask LA...

I wonder too if Lavy will apply different amounts of jam to different teams. I definitely think that "up tempo" style would have blown up in their faces yesterday.

I think against a team like the Pens a little bit more conservative would be a good idea. Against teams where the Flyers have more firepower up front I would open the cage.

FYI just realised that Benadryl is not Benylin.

Voracek did rip one off the post... We just didn't get the luck

The real missed opportunity (other than the PP) was G being off sides by like 6 inches on the 1 on 0 breakaway pass from Hartsy

I never understand Why travel is So hard. Then again I have never been on a plane 5 out of 10 days while burning 5000C a day
I am Surprised guys on the west don't negotiate better contracts because of the travel

Any time I flew for more than 3 hours I ended up being constipated for 2-3 days.

I didn't really appreciate it until I got into my 30's and had to travel more for work, then come home and play ice hockey in my league... I've found that I am more succeptible to injuries like groin or leg in those circumstances.. Maybe it's sitting for long periods I dunno.

It's the pressurization, changes in altitudes and confined spaces on a plane. That takes a toll, not to mention being in such a small space bugs get passed around a lot more easily.

I always take a day or two after flying to feel normal.

I have an idea on that and its about how people sit on planes and cars
I have flown in a private Commercial liner once. I am sure it was the bottom of the barrel version, but it still had over 100 First class Seats in it. that space alone would help out a bit

I've always been adversely affected by it. But it's worse now. Of course the last time I flew anywhere was 2006. Got a cold that lasted two weeks.

Also, in a car or even a bus, you stop more often and can stretch your legs and get outside for a few minutes.

5 years ago I flew back home to the motherland. Threw up as the plane was landing. Always fun when the plane is dead silent and all you hear is someone hurling.
