There's a handful of movies me and a group of buddies simply love to watch, most of them Coen brothers flicks.

He's a defensive defenseman. He doesn't need to have a big shot. Nor is he a slow clumsy skater. Nor did he make many poor turnovers. He makes a nice outlet pass. He made a few mistakes today, one he got his stick up on a player, which is a call that is made leading to bad penalty. And he had a positioning error that led to another penalty. All of that is correctable. He played 2 decent games.

He's slower than a Donald Fehr bathroom break.

I really thought he should've had the Hodgson goal.

What can you do when a guy is flying into the crease unimpeaded, after he just made a save on Vaneks break away

I think Luke Schenn appeared slower than he actually is as a result of his poor positioning in some situations/poor turnovers in the neutral zone. The guy has not played hockey in a long time and it seems he's reading the game a step behind, so he looks slow of foot. The Flyers have also been terrible in regards to managing the puck in the neutral zone, which allows the opposing forwards to attack an off-balance defense tandem and in most cases come at them with speed. He's an average skater that looked horrid in some sequences as a result of the above. He had a few shots today, one of which was on goal and generated a scoring chance. What don't you like about his shot? I don't think it's great, but it's not horrid.

There's so many players right now, that aren't playing at their full potential. Timonen and Coburn are going to get much better. Young players such as B Schenn and Voracek aren't clicking. They're just not in sync right now. Giroux can even be better. Right now, Wayne Simmonds is their best player. No knock on Simmonds but that shouldn't be. So it's been two games and already the negativity is flowing. It took all of two games for the Coach and the system to be questioned. Hell drive me nuts. Bring back the lockout!

So why shouldn't we be frustrated?

It is time for everyone to take notes.

It is clear we need a scoring winger. As I mentioned, those that want Briere gone really dont understand the game.

Bryz has been fine IMO. The team looks rusty but ok. Read has been overrated by some on here..those willing to play his flute. Simmonds looks great but needs some hands and timing. Defense looks OK but needs to get a little sharper mentally.

Sure why not, not saying the season is over or that the team is terrible, just frustrating to watch so far.

Exactly, the play on which he took a penalty diving to try and break up a play, was an error in positioning. He was too far to the center of the ice, and was beaten by a player coming down the Wing. And he doesn't have the foot speed to make up for that. Although I give him credit for the effort there. But those are things that are correctable. Being a stride or two too far to one side, or making an inside turn versus an outside turn is all it takes to get beaten in this League. He is not nearly as slow as he's made out to be.

Nothing wrong with frustration. But it's far too early to question the system. Majority of people who question the system, have no idea what the system is. It is also too early to call for the Coaches head.

All he needs to do is to keep doing what he's doing. The puck will start going in.

Yep, and that in it itself is a problem. It's great the way he is playing, but he shouldn't be their best player.
