So you all got to see a great game, how will the Canucks top that classic?

I don't think Canucks fans are too optimistic about this game—Anaheim has traditionally had the Canucks number.

I'm not sure which power-play was worse, if that's even possible.

I'm more concerned with him being able to take some of the physical load off of Edler. Salo was a shadow of himself physically after he got injured.

By all accounts (and advanced stats, for those who find them valuable), Garrison is very capable defensively.

- Fosco

If garrison can be a rock back there and muster up 30 points, I'll be happy

All'n all, a great night for Canada. Hockey is back, Cherry still has his stuff, and the Leafs beat the snot out of the Habs.

A good way to end Saturday night hockey.

Bedtime everyone! See you Monday when Canada's team plays Buffalo!

Kovalev, Jagr, I hope Gillis at least contacted Sakic to see if he could fill in until Kesler comes back

I turned on the BJ and Preds game to cash in on the better entertainment value.

I am an evil genius.

My wife loves to cook, so I planted the seed that we should make a big feast today and celebrate the start of hockey season.

So after she did all the laundry and dishes she's been out all day buying food (and Beer for me), and I've been planted in front of the TV watching hockey, drinking beer, and not lifting a finger, and now she's made a feast that I get to enjoy

She doesn't even care about the hockey, but any excuse to shop and cook

Brother I'm not trying to be a Richard but that game made for brutal viewing. I switched over to other games at the mid-way point (thank god for free Centre Ice).

Still, a win is a win so great start. And Scrivens looked solid too.
