I could understand effort being inconsistant within a game, but that doesn't seem to be the deal with Bickell. He seems to bring it all game or not at all. Sadly, it seems to be about every fourth game during the regular season.

Time is on his side...he'll be 22 in April. He's put up decent goal numbers in the minors...so i say he's still got a shot to be in Chicago. Just needs to stay healthy and consistent. His intensity is good and that is a plus as well.

Yep...and he knows he has to be more consistent...but just doesn't do it enough. However, in the cap age, he's good value for what he brings...decent bottom line guy who is big and chips in with a timely goal here and there.

And then some. Bickell doesn't seem that thick. Between sporadically taking the body and needing a GPS to find the front of the net consistently...I Just don't get it.

I don't see a reason to screw with the bottom msix forwards...at least not to start the game. If Saad starts onight he replaces Carcillo on the top line.

Ha! Right on! I am not a big fan of this broadcast team; Joe Buck of the school of more is more. After Kapernick (sp?) took off on a nice run and SF seemed to get some energy he started shouting about how "Kapernick is a dual threat; he can beat you with his arm and his legs...and his mind!"
