#leafs lines, Lupul-Bozak-Kessel, MacArthur-Grabovski-Kulemin, JVR-Kadri-Komarov, Orr-McClement-Brown, extra Steckel.

I thought it would be different, so disappointed. (frank) it.

- LeafMan

If JVR can grow a pair, the bottom two lines may be fun to watch.

We are going to lose an awful lot of games, but the mayhem should be entertaining.

Other than Orr I think it looks fine. But we are just assuming Orr is still useless, they've done the tests and seen him on the ice so hopefully they know better. Plus it's not a permanent decision, if he plays a few games and sucks they can still call someone else, not the end of the world.

I think sending Rielley (or however you spell it) back was the right thing to do as well. I thought they would give him 5 games to give Gardiner some more time to rest, but maybe with him skating and whatnot they think he's ready to go.

That or they signed Redden or something so don't need extra dmen

I don't think it's that big of an issue.... they did what they said they were going to do. They've made room for the young guys. Not all of them can make it. Frattin @4mins with McClemmet and Brown is pointless. Let him go back down and play big mins and dominate. IMO he's still not 100%.

He'll be back if injuries or trades. Not the end of the world. I like what they did.

Something in my gut tells me this team is going to surprise a lot of people and be better than many hoped or expected. That could be the sheppards pie I ate last night though.

meh, we'll see,

D-pairings today: Phaneuf-Kostka. Liles-Komisarek. Gunnarsson-Franson. Fraser and Holzer would appear extras.

why? Orr must have really improved his skating (he was being coached all summer) and Frattin shouldnt be on the big club as a sparingly used fourth liner.

with 3 offensive lines that fourth line needs to be tough as nails, and frattin needs ice time to get out of his funk

its not so bad LM

I think they they would do a better job than Komi. Big bodies, very physical, nothing fancy and do a good job (at least in the AHL) of shutting down the oppositions main players
- lumlums

Komi will be a lot more usefull in Carlyle system I believe

playing Kessel on that line defeats the whole purpose of that line, no?

Anyone who hasn't seem him yet, you're going to love Komarov if he's on this team. He brings the tenacity that Burke promised us and never delivered. He's not a big guy at all but he loves throwing his body around and getting under the opponents skin.

He is the exact type of bottom six player the leafs have been lacking for years.

Based on jersey colours, Steckel looks like odd man out. Fraser and Kostka still here. #leafs

Oh my, Orr is in, two steps forward one big step backwards, what a shame.

- LeafMan

Orr is far from a step back from Steckel.
I hope to see Steckel in the press box, and Orr laying bombs on anyone who touches Kessel, Gardiner etc.

everyone just remembers the team that finished the season, and how disapointijg it was that they competely fell apart.

after 48 games last year they were in 6th or 7th i believe....

if they stay healthy there is no reason they cant a borderline playoff team

andf that was without a healthy Reimer........

People are getting so bent out of shape about Orr being on it.

EVERYONE. Orr being on this team right now doesn't mean he stays here the whole season. If he's a detriment to the lineup they'll take him out and replace it.

The lines a team uses to start the season aren't (frank)ing permanent.

Ah, Leafs fans.

They are so cute at the start of the season.
