Should be interesting. Habs added Armstrong and Prust, so they got a bit tougher.

Still the smallest team in the leaue though I believe.

I know its a petty issue, but I would love to add Komarov and make it a USSR line. Mac with Kadri and JVR wouldnt be too shabby, but they could use the physicality of Komarov more than the second line unfortunately.

Agree with everything you said.

- systemtool

lol yeah there's something about three crazy Russians on a line. Interested to see how much Komorov and Kadri bother the opposition too though

Heard something about doubleshifting Kessel on the fourth line this season too, and heck Brown is a (frank)ing good skater for an energy guy. It's still a fast team but it's more hateful now, we need as much hatefulness as we can get

Right now we just do the kits and add to them as we need. With 12 carboys, 3 corny kegs and a kegerator, we can have quite a bit on the go however. We're looking into getting a grain mill so that we can make from scratch.

We also have a czech lager next in line for brewing. I'm pretty damn excited!

I do the coopers kits myself. Haven't had much luck with any of the other ones.....

Armstrong won't be looking for a fight if he can avoid given his concussion history. Prust is always willing; him v brown would be interesting but Orr would maul him

scrivens is in mid season form.. it only makes sense.

but.. not starting reimer might be hurt his confidence as well.

tough call there.

Bad outing if he's not ready would hurt it more, IMO.

So I know nothing about Komorov.......... is he really that chippy and fiesty? I just find it hard to believe since he was playing in Europe....
- Sheppy99

He's the greatest 5'3", 126 lb. 4th line Leaf to have never played a single game for the Leafs.

Leafs fans are typically delusional and stupid when it comes to evaluating prospects, but they have really taken it to new heights (I guess I mean depths) with Komarov.

I'm not quite sure why, but all signs point to a single Toronto Star article which described how Komarov could trash-talk in four languages.

Yes, that was what was sorely lacking from the team last year. If only we had a guy who could have said "yo momma so fat" in Estonian, we surely would have made a cup run. A deep cup run.

Mark my words, one day Komarov's name will be mentioned alongside of other Leafs greats like Mark Bell, Jamie Baker and Joe Sacco.

Nice! Yeah you can crank out a bunch of beer with that gear. I used to do a single carboy from malt extract and grains, hop pellets, not full boil. With a single batch at a time, used to love doing a british brown ale that finished fermenting in like five days and then bottle condition, so it was drinkable in 12 days from the start.

Last time I did a u-brew place for the pilsener since I don't have a lager set-up, that czech pilsener is interesting

Ease up with the anger. No reason not to have hope over an unknown. Plus the guy isnt a prospect. There is more to him than the languages but whatever. You're grumpy Wedge. Hugs.

Nice, I am going to give one of them a try. I noticed they say all grain? My biggest complaint about the coopers brew kits is they are not very hoppy. Do you notice the hops at all in these grain beers any better?

An all grain beer will usually be a better tasting beer, but it won't effect the hops. What you could do is, if you can get hops in your area, simply add hops to the kit. Dry-hop it by putting hops into the wort.

Its always good to have beer ready in 12 days

With these its more like 30-60 depending on conditioning time, but its worth the wait

oh ok. That's a good idea. I had a molson Canadian for the first time in months cause I usually just drink my coopers home brew and could I ever notice the hops... I do miss that

The pale ale usually have some hopes to them, but its definitely better to visit a brew store and by the hop pellets, then add them as liberally as you want.

Another trick with them is that you can chew on a half of a hop pellet, which allows you to drink cheap beer and have it taste decent
