we got a 4th for Lombardi..who is worthless
D are in short supply it seems... if you are going to trade him, it better be significant. not a 3rd rounder that will never make the team or be 25 (frattin, Leo) before they do - senstroll

It's not all about points. Komarov is a nasty hockey player, who hits like a Mack truck. An attribute the leafs a direly lacking upa nd down their lineup. - B-Wforever
When he went back to Moscow Dynamo, the coach put him right on the line with Backstrom and Ovechkin.
That says something about his skill set as well. I think he's the perfect winger for Kadri. A pesky bumhole, someone to watch his back a bit. Then, a big skilled winger in JVR on his other side.
Man, this team has upside though! Enough upside to get us to 11th in the east and anotehr 7th or 8th overall pick. Were gonna have to be sellers at the deadline. Lupul,MacArthur,Bozak and Gunnarsson out the door?

not saying komarov doesn't hit, but let's not dismiss frattins penchant for a crackerjack - Barx
i whole heartily agree. jvr kadri frattin & komarov brown mcclement seem much better, just sucks we arent the coach lol . waive stekle and keep orr around for any big fighters..
“By the time there was about seven minutes left in the first period the whole other team was chasing Leo around trying to kill him,” Eakins said. “They didn’t care about anything else — they were going to get him. And he wasn’t doing anything dirty. He was going to the net and he was hitting hard. But they didn’t like that he was hitting certain players. Teams get discombobulated when Leo does what he does.”
“Let’s say he gets a chance (in the NHL) and he’s on the ice against Sidney Crosby — he’s going to run him over. He doesn’t care that he’s Sidney Crosby,” said Eakins.
To put it in a language a hard-driving coach like Carlyle might like: He’s not afraid, and his intentions need no translation.
“I’m not here to look around and see how the big NHL stars are playing,” Komarov said.
stop looking at as who is the better player or who makes the Leafs better - look at where the best place for the player to develop is. Frattin is awesome but he needs ice time on a top line - not bottom feeder time on a poop line. Let steckel eat up those poopty minutes.
