With the lottery now being amongst all the teams that missed the playoffs, the Leafs can finish dead last and still draft 14th. Thanks, Bettman!

Its all about the odds though. The worse you are, the better the odds. I sure wont be crying if the Leafs still end up with Barkov, Monohan or Shinkaruk.

I just hope it translates into the NHL. Just so many times we have seen players who had a niche in the euro-leagues come over only to have it not translate very well to our game.

Ya there looks to be a lot of talent this year but I'm not hauling the tank wagon just yet. I have to have hope even if there is zero reason for it. A couple losses in a row and I'll be whistling a different tune pretty quick

I've heard he's gonna be an absolute nightmare for other teams. They'll boil with rage trying to kill him while the Leafs score at will.

Its Komarov.

Best way to explain him is like this, at least from what Ive seen in the dozen or so Marlies games and scouting/media reports:

Think Danny Markov as a forward, with better hands and speed. To put it another way, he was playing on a line with Backstrom and Malkin just before the lockout ended. You dont play with those guys if you cant skae with them.

he played the role to a tee in the AHL.. and was leading the team in points (or goals, cant remember) before heading back to europe

if the third line is indeed jvr kadri komarov its going to be fun too watch.. jvr is the big body that goes to the net, komarov pissing everyone off and getting them off their game which usually translates into defensive lapses that opens holes for kadri to exploit in the offensive zone

in theory, it should work nicely... in theory.

omg, I used to watch this show called ancient aliens on the history channel but it just feels like they aren't even trying anymore.......

Was Albert Einstein a genius? Or was he superhuman? Was his genius “of this world,” or was it “otherworldly?” Is it possible, as Ancient Astronaut theorists believe, of an extraterrestrial connection to the scientific genius of famous historical figures such as Albert Einstein, Galileo, Archimedes, and Aristotle

Really....... Einstein was an alien now too?

Im not at all on a tank wagon. I just use it as a crutch to not let losses get to me, plus accepting its something this team needs (elite prospect talent)

I honestly would love to see playoff hockey, its been too too long. That said, it is contingent upon not selling any future pieces/young players to do so. If we make it because JR and BS are lights out, JVR/Kadri/Kulemin/Kessel all excel etc then I can live with drafting in the mid to late teens. Hopefully scooping up M.Domi or F.Gauthier.

i am a lil concerned defensively.. but the leafs are going to be a puck possession team this year.. thats their strength, if these guys get hemmed into their own zone it could get ugly
