No, not really. Seguin and Hamilton a second and Kaberle is not as good as Kessle, Colbourne, Biggs, Liles. In fact, its a bloomin' steal. Well, Hamilton is rated as a superstar according to Leafs apologists, and I seem to be in the minority in thinking Kessel is way better than Seguin (who gets to play with Chara and Bergeron, and yup, is, so far, a winger). - Aquaman_2400

I still cant wrap my head around the fact that im actually going to watch NHL action tonight, and skipping the torture of preseason balony. - systemtool
Yup!
It's too good, no more half line up BS. It's straight into the thick of it! I think this season is going to be an absolute thriller. It's all going to be divisional or at the very least, conference battles.
With the condensed schedule and the fact that you are only playing the same 14 teams I think this will be a barn burner of a season. Lets just hope the Leafs goaltending can keep us in there for the ride |

I have a feeling the vaginas are going to beat us tomorrow.
I got nothing planned. Home with the baby boy. Wife is going to Niagara Falls for the night with her friends. (frank) my life. I was hoping to go out and get poop faced. |

That's the way to do it, this is when we can be hopeful and optimistic. Leave all the draft pick dreaming for later in the season |

aren't you the same one who wants to give a Kessel- like package for Benn? - Feeling Glucky?
Yup. I would give up two firsts and a second all day long for jamie Benn and I think the Leafs win in the two combined Boston trades is far more than marginal. I am at a loss to understand why this would affect my credibility as an un paid internet commenter, as there really isn't any one here who has credibility for anything, including me. However is bizarre that its "common knowledge" that Boston won the trade, I mean, Kessel is the best player in the trade. By a wide margin. He potted nearly 40 goals, was one of under ten ppg players and was flat out awesome on a terrible team. Seguin, also a winger, just for those number one centre whiners, plays on a superior team with superior players and still isnt as good as Kessel. "Oh but he was plus 37" Yeah , about that, the entire Boston team lead the league in plus minus, plus, plus minus means nothing. Consider Seguin is playing in front of Chara and Thomas , two of the very best, and has Bergeron, the leagues premier defensive centre on his line. He is so over rated its hilarious. The rest of what Boston got is pure crap, Kaberle is gone and Doug Hamilton is not going to be very good. As for the Leafs, they still have Colbourne who is a decent prospect and could very well develop into a useful player. They have Liles for four more years, Biggs has potential to be the bruising powerforward this team needs and Kessel, well I can see this guy winning a scoring title and silencing his critics.
So yeah, if not following the public consensus makes me an idiot, call me an idiot. Most of the time, the people ahead of the curve are called names and disperared. Its no different here because I know for a fact time is going to vindicate me.
And, by the way, I would give three first rounders for Jamie Benn if that was the cost. First Rounders should be traded every single year you arent in danger of finishing in the basement. |

It would be, if Aquamans presence wasn't both awkward and creepy. |
