What's with all this Orr bashing? You might want to look at the rest of the division. Scott, ott, Thornton, Prust, Neil. You guys want to get pushed around all year again?

They'll get pushed around all year even with him in the lineup.

Maybe so, but when the leafs lose, colton Orr is the only one who shows he cares. Everyone else just bends over and accepts it.

I'm glad Orr has worked his way back into the line up. I like Brown but he's no heavy weight. Fearless but mostly a punching bag for the opposing goon.

In a pool with just family members... "category" style pool.

I got 4 oilers also, Hall, Eberle, Nuge, Hemsky(!?)

Brown will spend half the season injured, he outplays his stature.

In a pool it is tough not to take the big 3 at least if you have a chance. They have been playing all year and they are good enough to all warrant consideration even without that advantage.

Still... 4 oilers, out of 20 categories overall Yeesh!

Absolutely no franchise in the NHL could sustain a proper rebuild better than the Leafs. The fans are always there and the money is endless. If anybody has the time, it's the Leafs.

And no, idiots thought Burke was going to rebuild properly. Anybody with half a brain knew he was going to do what he does best; make the big splash and live or die by it. Anybody who expected Burke to rebuild properly and through the draft has no idea who Brian Burke is.

- Two_For_Truth

The words "proper rebuild" need to be stricken from the narrative. Its enough to make you want to puke.

Your right on W. Many of these free tickets are held by corporations who are giving them away free to who they choose to give them too. The season ticket holders are also getting free tickets. How about the little average guy who has no corporate connections or season tickets? This whole free ticket thing is just a bunch of crap.
- GCHonda

But what are they supposed to do? The ACC holds what 18 000 ? Out of that there is like, 1000 tickets put on sale for each game. The rest are for seasons ticket holders. As far as I know, they made the entire game free. Yeah, it s not like that helps most people, and you are right that anyone who paid for the tickets probably doesnt need a free game, but thats hardly the point. Also, what can they really do? Tell season ticket holders that they can only have 23 games when they already are down from 41? Hows that supposed to work?

2 1sts and a second is not a proper rebuild. No #1 center is not a proper rebuild. no legitimate starting goalie and a threadbare defense is not a proper rebuild.

One, *maybe* prospect with all-star potential one day, in the entire system is not a proper rebuild.

We have other people's top-10 picks that didn't pan out for them and that is the only reason we got them. Yes, that includes Phaneuf.

- Aetherial

Are you kidding me? Lupul, 5th in league scoring, until his injury, yeah he didnt work out. Phaneuf, one of the best all round defenseman in the league? Yeah, total bust. Kessel, almost 40 goals with no centre? BUST. JVR? he's 22 but I promise you he will be fan favorite by April. Give me a break dude. Whether or not you like how the Leafs are being rebuilt, you missed my point entirely. That point was that there is no such thing as a "proper" rebuild. Many teams are built in many different ways. It can easily be argued that the least effective and most time consumer as well as the riskiest way to build a team is through bottoming out and drafting in the top five for several years, which is what I assume what you mean by "proper". Much like "Trickledown Economics" the "proper rebuild" is a populist term scorned by those in the know that can easily (and I am talking like ten minutes research) be debunked.

The whole 2 firsts and a second argument doesnt hold any water either.

Consider this:

Boston recieved: 2 firsts and a second. Thomas Kaberle.

Toronto recieved: Phil Kessel (5th overall) Joe Colbourne (first rounder) a second rounder. Tyler Biggs ( First rounder, leafs drafted him a pick they aquired from boston) A second rounder (traded to Colorodo for Liles)

So, instead of two firsts and a second, Toronto got 3 firsts and a second. The so called ruining of a proper rebuild actually netted toronto an EXTRA FIRST ROUNDER.

So, again your argument is not only wrong, but non-sensical. And I say that respectuflly and tactfully. Like a friend.

Luongo to Edmonton and Toronto to share.

So... Raymond, Ballard and Luongo for Torontos 1st, Edmontons 1st, Eberle, Hall, Kessel, Gardiner, Reimer, Kadri and 2 gallons of lighter fluid.

Edmonton gets Ballard, Toronto gets Raymond and they share Luongo.

Nope, Gillis is trying to restore his respect from the Hodgson deal all in one trade for Luongo. Not Toronto's fault he looks like a sucker after the Sabers fleeced him. It is however his fault for asking for a bigger price tag than what Columbus got for Nash. Like give me and everybody else a break Gillis. You're not going to get more than what the Rangers gave up for Nash.

moron.

No, not really. Seguin and Hamilton a second and Kaberle is not as good as Kessle, Colbourne, Biggs, Liles. In fact, its a bloomin' steal. Well, Hamilton is rated as a superstar according to Leafs apologists, and I seem to be in the minority in thinking Kessel is way better than Seguin (who gets to play with Chara and Bergeron, and yup, is, so far, a winger).
