How long have we heard that Komi has worked on his foot speed over the summer and been working long and hard at getting better? Every (frank)ing year. What's gonna change now? Is a coach really gonna make him not the poop hole he's shown he can be? I can't see it happening.

Hey W how are u? Well Komi is on the Leaf roster, all we can hope for is better play from him.

With Komi its not so much about making him faster, or making him better on the puck as chances are that's not going to happen. What you have to do is get him to play smarter hockey. Get him to realise that the big hit is no good if the puck ends up on the stick of another opposition skater. To realise when to block commit to a shot block, and when to get out of the goalie's eyeline. He's never going to out play anybody, so you have to teach him to outwait them. And if, and ONLY if, the big hit is available then to not be afraid to still make it count.

I liked the uproar about the Leafs doing everybody a solid by making this game free...to people that can clearly afford it already because they are season ticket holders. WTF is up with that? Talk about looking out of the little guy.

Your right on W. Many of these free tickets are held by corporations who are giving them away free to who they choose to give them too. The season ticket holders are also getting free tickets. How about the little average guy who has no corporate connections or season tickets? This whole free ticket thing is just a bunch of crap.

Just a guess but I don't think the BB firing had much to do with Luongo.

I think all that is going on now is that the Leafs are not sure if Reimer can return to 2 years ago form if if he was a flash in the pan. Vancouver doesn't yet know if they will need Luongo.

So, neither team is really all that motivated right now to come anywhere near th other team's offer.

I fear that the Leafs will be desparate starting around this time next week. I just hope Gardiner, Rielly or the 1st are not included once the Leafs get desparate.

2 1sts and a second is not a proper rebuild. No #1 center is not a proper rebuild. no legitimate starting goalie and a threadbare defense is not a proper rebuild.

One, *maybe* prospect with all-star potential one day, in the entire system is not a proper rebuild.

We have other people's top-10 picks that didn't pan out for them and that is the only reason we got them. Yes, that includes Phaneuf.
