Each stat on their own has little value, but its in combination with other stats that advanced stats really work. Basically, QoC is an aggregate score determining whether the five guys a player is playing against spends more time on the ice scoring goals, than having goals scored against them (thus being generally better defensively).

Ok and fair enough, you seem to understand it. BUT people use it for arguments and it doesnt make sense, for the reasons I outlined.

wings picked Sheahan over him ,

anyone think he stays in the KHL this entire season?

- wingz4life

I dunno, that's down to the avs I think. Either sign him for a reasonable wage, or trade his rights. I think that Franson and Bozak would get his rights for us.

It's easier to say then to actually do.
Is this franchise patient enough to withstand a true rebuild? Based on leaf recent history (20 yrs) the answer is no.
Everyone thought that Burkie was the guy to do it. And look what happened.

- bloatedmosquito

Absolutely no franchise in the NHL could sustain a proper rebuild better than the Leafs. The fans are always there and the money is endless. If anybody has the time, it's the Leafs.

And no, idiots thought Burke was going to rebuild properly. Anybody with half a brain knew he was going to do what he does best; make the big splash and live or die by it. Anybody who expected Burke to rebuild properly and through the draft has no idea who Brian Burke is.

I often wondered, if I've ever been close to being banned. And is there an appeal process.

Strange day today, I actually defended Cloutier's picks.....sort've. well, I defended his blog......yesterday I lose it on Beatle John and get a long with a canuck poster.....I must be really happy about Lombardi being gone and Connolly going to the AHL. Oh, and anyone else notice that posters are being nicer to leaf fans on here now that Burke is gone? Strange week indeed.

This still brings tears to these eyes tears of joy!

Perhaps Nonis would be tempted to take an offer of Gardiner, Bozak & Colborne. for Benn. Not sure about Dallas though. Does anyone think Dallas might take it?

Dont really wanna see gardiner go... probably could work around that with other notable prospects like finn or percy, and add a guy like gunner to the deal or franson

Glad they aren't gonna rush Rielly. Smart move. Gonna be amazing this year not seeing Tampon or that other guy they just traded. Now when Komisarek is gone....oh baby!

Won't happen. You have to give to get. Plus, no one cares what fans think - so if they see gardiner + + as expendable if the return is J. Benn, than that's the end of it.

No appeal. Unless you're on a buddy list.

And no, I havent noticed that at all. The underside of the bridge is as populated and active as usual.

I think i've been banned like 10 times. It would be typical of me to get another one right before puck drop.

Do you think Komi can get to a level of decency under a better system with Carlyle?

How long have we heard that Komi has worked on his foot speed over the summer and been working long and hard at getting better? Every (frank)ing year. What's gonna change now? Is a coach really gonna make him not the poop hole he's shown he can be? I can't see it happening.

Well, it could be that I'm not as offensive to other teams posters, that's why they're being nice.
