It is no benefit to Frattin to be a 4th line winger getting 4th line minutes and not being put in a role to succeed. He doesnt have to pass waivers this time around. Send him down. Give him 1st line minutes.. Gain more experience and confidence. Don't see the problem at all with that.. Its all about where he fits

i do agree that frattin would be wasted on the 4th line.

i think komarov tooks his spot, lets look at the big picture like you said.

frattin on first line for marlies does more for him than frattin on 4th line for leafs.

Hearing Rielly and Frattin will be the Leafs cuts today to get to 23-man roster. Practice starts at 11:30 so we'll know for sure then.

rielly makes sense.. send him back to junior to dominate.

frattin upsets me a bit.. then again.. he'll get more ice time with the marlies.. and if he's slumping.. ice time is what he needs.. not 4th line duties.

Frattin is an energy guy, a third liner...I'm fine with him going back to Marlies, but don't think it would be a waste having him on an energy line. That line with McClement will still play a fair amount.

I think Frattin should have got a 1 game tryout at least.

Oh well, he will be back.

The more i look at this, this simply might be because he doesnt have to go thru waivers, orr and stekle would have too.. im sure we will see him with the big club soon

Price is a slow starter. We are going to see some strange things during the first two weeks as some players try to get their timing back while playing with and against a whole bunch of guys who have already played half a season.

The thing with Frattin is, when he gets called back up, he only has 13 more games before he is no longer Waiver exempt.
