I think you replied to the wrong one... or misunderstood. He agrees, Bozak is 1 (buy defautl) or 3 - Big_Lightnin
This.
If we got a true #1, Bozak goes to the third line without question. Grabo's #2 spot is firmly cemented here. |

point is wings need a top pairing guy, not Franson (a depth defenseman). |

nope fuhr was moved to b-lo andreruck (sp) and puppa (sp)
edit: ya puppa was vet to back up potvin - dmnted
But their time overlapped.. point being, they gave Potvin the chance, he ran with it, once they were confident in him, they moved Fuhr. If Potvin poop the bed, they probably would have held on for Fuhr for a while longer im sure.

Gus is a great goalie with wicked potential...but you have to play him consistently or he loses his groove and confidence...he's a starting goaltender that cannot be backup with sporadic starts...it (frank)s him up mentally - JIMI-JAMES
Gus had ample oppourtunity to take the Leaf goalie #1 job & run with it but he didn't. |

so... when Bozak goes UFA this summer, he deserves more money than Grabo?
I stand by what I said. Everyone here agrees with me. - Big_Lightnin
Nope ... I don't think either one of them are worth that kind of money. Watch the game tomorrow. Keep a little tally of positives and negatives. Ill accept your apology tomorrow. |

I must confess I've only watched about 20 minutes of it in total, but what really struck me was they were acting for the camera.
Don't get me wrong, they are very good at it, but I just hope people don't think that reality show is actual reality.
It's getting pretty weird now that the reality shows are creeping towards shows like the Office and Trailer Park Boys. - Atomic Wedgie
All shows are scripted in one way or the other, take a look at the camera angles, you can tell immediately that the shots were planned, blocked and directed. That being said, Duck Dynasty has characters that just make you laugh. |

Actually the one time he did start to get in a groove, wilson put reimer back in prematurely for both goalies and both goalies never recovered...and neither did the defense...wilson (frank)ed up our team big time with that decision IMO...that was the start of the downfall off the cliff |

He had 3 shutouts in Jan last year. Record was 7-3-1..... 926S% 2.11 GAA.
and then he was taken out for Reimer who wasn't ready. What could have been if RW would have stuck with the hot hand? |

hold your breath on that one... please - Big_Lightnin
He depends on his speed way too much to count for his poor positioning. He tries to dangle with these ridiculous moves and has a conversion rate of about 5 percent. His passing is horrible. Did you ever wonder why, when his name was being thrown around on the block, we couldn't get poop for him?? He brings more damage, loose pucks, and giveaways then any point total could ever make up for .... But you donks just keep reading your stat books, and let's judge our players by how great they look in TO. Worked for numerous guys who dissolved into nothing when they left. |

Potvin was the KEY back from 92-94. If he poops the bed the Leafs have no choice but to hang onto an aging Fuhr & they don't acquire their BIG gun in Andrechuk. If this would have happened, NO FUKKEN way the Leafs go to the semi finals 2 years in a row without the big scorer and an aging goalie in Fuhr who would never have been able to handle the physically demanding playoff wars of playing over 20 games in just over 40 nights. |

Maybe ... Or maybe yas should try to watch a game rather then looking at his stats. He out skates the puck more often then not. His passes reach there destination about 25 percent of the time, and that's giving him the ones that hit his team mates skates ... He's an over glorified version of Jason Blake ... Fast, not afraid of the corners, but can't keep the puck on his stick, and can't find a team mate to pass it too. I have 100 percent confidence that if you really watch the game tomorrow night, you'll count more giveaways, bad passes, and horrible decisions made then anything he does right. - KaceTy
as george takei would say: oh my
last season when grabo was on the ice the leafs generated 8 or 9 more shots on net than opponents did. is corsi rating is fantastic.
when grabo is on the ice 53% of all shots taken by other side are at the opposition net..he's a plus possession player all the way
now for NHL stats: shooting percentage 14.1%.. scoring 23 times out of 163 shots.. a shooting percentage that ranks him 50th overall in the entire league
