I have ... And I think you're a donk for putting Grabovski with the likes of some of the guys who have earned their spot in the league ... Tell me ... Tomorrow what would happen if we picked up a number 1C? Grabo would stay 2nd and Bozak would go down to 3rd?? Not likely .... The only reason he sits on number 2 right now, is because we have nothing better.

Ok then. He sucks. Lets just say any time the Leafs get a player, he is over rated, one dimensional, has bad stats, etc. But hey, if they trade one, he is a superstar. I am on board for that. Kind of like TSN rating Tlyer Seguin ahead of Phil Kessel. What. A. Joke.
- Aquaman_2400

Further more, I stuck up for Schenn for years. THen when he got traded I couldn't believe what people where saying. It just goes to show you always want what you cant have, or you can't get what you want or basically any cliche from any power ballad from the 80s that would apply

Maybe.... we don't know yet. His pts total would seem to indicate that.

Certainly worth much more than a 3rd or a 4th.

Actually, very likely.

Or Bozak gets packed up and sent to Vancouver for Luongo.

- Leeman4Gilmour

you cant be serious?

grabovski is the 2nd line center to spread out some talent.

kessel and grabovski have a very similar game in terms of bringing the puck into the O zone, not always best to have 2 of these guys same line, hence why they put grabovski on a different line than Kessel, they tried it, it doesnt work.

bozak is just a 2 way guy that gets his job done, nothing flashy.

i like him though, i like that he and phil are friends and i feel that makes phil play better knowing hes got one of his buddys on the team (as lame as that sounds).

OK, then you want a fair assessment of JVR?

He's been a disappointment, who has failed to live up to his draft position. Despite flashes of skills, he hasn't put together any body of work to suggest that the Flyers were correct in drafting him 2nd overall. The scouting reports were correct: he's a big body, but shies away from heavy traffic (although he is getting better at this).

Luckily, most of what I wrote above can also be written about Schenn.

We traded our disappointment for their disappointment. And I think we probably have a better chance of winning this trade, because I think that Schenn lacks the footspeed to be a top-4 d-man.

For now, JVR goes on the third line. I really hope he surprises me.

But until he earns my respect...well...he hasn't earned my respect.

Maybe ... Or maybe yas should try to watch a game rather then looking at his stats. He out skates the puck more often then not. His passes reach there destination about 25 percent of the time, and that's giving him the ones that hit his team mates skates ... He's an over glorified version of Jason Blake ... Fast, not afraid of the corners, but can't keep the puck on his stick, and can't find a team mate to pass it too. I have 100 percent confidence that if you really watch the game tomorrow night, you'll count more giveaways, bad passes, and horrible decisions made then anything he does right.

Gus is a great goalie with wicked potential...but you have to play him consistently or he loses his groove and confidence...he's a starting goaltender that cannot be backup with sporadic starts...it (frank)s him up mentally

so... when Bozak goes UFA this summer, he deserves more money than Grabo?

I stand by what I said. Everyone here agrees with me.

I must confess I've only watched about 20 minutes of it in total, but what really struck me was they were acting for the camera.

Don't get me wrong, they are very good at it, but I just hope people don't think that reality show is actual reality.

It's getting pretty weird now that the reality shows are creeping towards shows like the Office and Trailer Park Boys.

- Atomic Wedgie

Funny you mention this show. My wife's family own a bunch of trailer parks in Dartmouth NS. When the show first started they filmed it in one of them. After the few months of shooting when they wrapped up, the tenant association complained that it reflected poorly on them and they didn't like the image it portrayed.

When TPB wanted to renew their contract for filming the second season my wife's mother said thank you but no. The show went on to purchase their own land to create a fake trailer park.

The rest is history.

I don't think being an NHL GM is as complex as it may seem. Basic principle: build patiently through the draft, don't trade 1st picks for quick fixes. Develop your young players properly. Don't make stupid trades. Don't over pay for over rated UFA's. Burke subscribed to some of the above but not to all of them. If he did, he could have been a successful GM for the Leafs for the next decade.
