7 goals in 11 games. Still not too shabby. And more than the stats, his play was really starting to become recognized that year
- Leeman4Gilmour

Ya he was finally using his big frame around the net. I have to admit I am really excited to see him and Kadri play together, Kadri can make the plays and jvr can crash the net

Or continue on being the team that never makes it anywhere, the only team not to make the playoffe between CBA's, the only team to not make the finals since who knows when.

What the leafs have been trying for the past 20 years is proven to not work... maybe try something different.

- senstroll

We can agree to disagree, but I truely believe that what Burke started and what Nonis will finish is entirely different from anything tried in the last 30 years.

It is close to the season opener and I really don't want to ban any of you guys, so just helping it along a bit.

I was thinking...he hasn't really said anything too out of line yet, but some of his posts are likely to cause a reaction...

Aha told yas so Carlyle wanted Orr on he's team cause theyre soft as butter. And before you all get your panties in knot relax hell play his way off the team soon enough.

Frattin on the 4th line is a waste. I'd rather him be the guy on the Marlies until there's a spot.

Just like JvR is a 10/10 and will be a 100 point guy?
- Leafland

I said he is potentially a 100 point guy, and I may have been exagerating, but I do think JVR is a 7.5 and at least a ppg guy, which makes him a star. Hope I'm right, I am entitled to be a little bit of an optimist, lord knows there are enough pessimests around.

But Benn is better than JVR. Benn is very very awesome.

Benn will sign with Dallas... just wait and see of Getzlaf is available at all as a UFA ... Getzlaf and 5 first round picks is better than Benn ..now and in 10 years.

Both have the same likleyhood of happening.
Stop trying to Burke this team into another 4 years of 26th place

- senstroll

I agree, well said. Fans need to vigilant and insist on no trading of picks.

Last year the Leafs goaltending was their downfall, this year's anchor that could sink the Leafs could be the d-fence.

Mostly it is Sheldon, the one episode that he turned himself into a computer was one of the funniest episodes in any tv comedy that I have ever seen.

3 bans actually lol and yes, i remember the great overturn
- Dozzer

Man those Vancouver mods sure get pissy when the Nucks lose. After multiple posts slamming the Leafs and other teams (following the loss to LA) I responded in kind. I was told by the mod to "get out so as not to incite a riot". I responded that clearly it took less than me posting to start a riot. One week ban for my troubles

is Reimer on a short leash? are Scrivens/Rynnas really options?
- wingz4life

I'm looking for a GAA around 2.70-2.80 and a .905 save percentage for both Scrivens and Reimer. I understand that doesn't translate into playoff hockey, but anything above is just gravy (including the playoffs).

Toronto is the worst place on earth to develop any player. And goaltenders are the hardest position to develop in the spot light. If you track the progression of most of the league's best goalies, a .905 sv% and 2.70 GAA at their ages would be great.

Burke took a lot of heat for his goalies, but you've got to respect that. He kept the focus on himself and tried to give these guys the chance to develop properly.

Man, I think you're a fukn tool if ya don't believe it ... Name me the last big Toronto name that left our team, and did something, somewhere, anywhere in the league? Grabovski would be the same deal anywhere else ... I realize you're probably dusting off your Kaberle/Tucker/Gustavsson jersey for tomorrow night ... And are shopping EBay for a new Reimer/Gardiner one to go along with them ... But our players are nothing but hype.

The brothers grew up infront of a camera. Phil had the most successful trap and field type show in the US for 15 years. 70's and 80's I believe. They've all gone to university (except Cy).

Not the rednecks they portray on TV. Still an awesome show though.

- bloatedmosquito

I must confess I've only watched about 20 minutes of it in total, but what really struck me was they were acting for the camera.

Don't get me wrong, they are very good at it, but I just hope people don't think that reality show is actual reality.

It's getting pretty weird now that the reality shows are creeping towards shows like the Office and Trailer Park Boys.
