A prime example is AV is going to play Vandermeer as a forward and send Schroeder down...
We are missing 2 players out of our top six and Schroeder gets sent down so a defense 2 way contract can play forward?
- boonerbuck
I have my doubts he'll make it in the lineup. And, if you read between the lines, it looks like Kesler is back sooner than later. The lineup currently has 24 players, with Booth on LTIR to bring the total to 23. If Kesler was also going on LTIR they would have room for one more forward as well...

I stopped watching the playoffs last year sometime in the 2nd round. It literally became unwatchable for me (even as background entertainment) and that's not just because the Nucks were out. Switching over to the World Championships was like a breath of fresh air to watch some decent, positive hockey. If we adopt the PHX, LA, STL style I will bow out stage left.
I don't think it's always so black and white: play offensive-first hockey and lose, defense-first hockey and win. Detroit won with great hockey, so did Pittsburgh for that matter. We were 1 game away from doing it. It can be done. - AlexF
It's not like Boston sat back and trapped their way to a cup, pretty sure they dropped an 8 spot on us... |

Agreed, they pretty much played like the Flyers in the 70/80s on the way to the cup. I'm ok with that.
Another example would be Chicago (playing PHI, another offensive team) when they won it. |

Does anyone think Kesler won't get re-injured at some point this season (but still plod along at 70% capacity)? |

Trade him, Edler, Booth and Luongo and a 1st to Anaheim at the deadline for Getzlaf, Perry and Hiller. |

It would be a decent offer if Getz and Perry were not UFAs next year. |

Ask Booner - VANTEL
It would be a great poll question.

Wow, blockbuster!
Kesler, Edler, Booth, Luongo might be enough for Perry/Getzlaf, not sure about Hiller. They could trade Hiller to someone like TO and just stick with Lu in net.
EDIT: Vantel is right, they're both UFAs this summer. Would be a lot to give if they just walked. But not too much if they hoisted the cup in Vancouver. |

I think he'll come back but still not be 100%... So, I guess I think he won't get re-injured because he will still be injured. |

So what are the Nucks forward lines gonna look like for tomorrow??
Sedins and Burrows....
....
Malohtra and Vandermeer on the 4th line.
Is AV then just going throw darts blindfolded to make up the rest?? |

Make the trade contingent on them signing long-term deals with us.
EDIT: Would you rather Kesler and Booth and whoever as your 2nd line, or Getzlaf and Perry? It's a trade that would help both teams, Anaheim's going to lose one (or both) at the end of the season and we need an upgrade up front. Edler's obviously wanting more money then we can afford and Luongo has to go. Hiller would be a serviceable backup to Schneider and checking CapGeek, the numbers work for both teams. |

Some guy on TSN said Luongo is playing nice now to the public but what will he be like in 2 weeks when Corey has played 10 games and Lu has played 3 |

Ya, no need for him against the Oil, Raymond can fight Hordi. |

I honestly have no problem with him on 4 th line. How long have we been asking for a fighter. If he is horrible we will see very soon. |
