I like that deal for the blues. If (big if) he regains form, the blues get a 800k solid defenseman. If not, they loose 800k worth of cap, win-win for the blues. |

Where are all the Laff fan who said Rielly would be a nominee for the Calder this year? - woopstash
What's the problem? The Leafs made the right move sending him to back to the juniors. In this short season Reilly doesn't have a full training camp & any pre-season games to get prepared for a proper chance to make the Leafs. I could have told u as soon as they opened camps that Reilly would be sent back down. Kudos to the Leafs for making the right smart decision. |

I just find it funny that a lot of Laff fans were saying Rielly was gonna be a Calder nominee this season and now he gets cut. |

Sending Rielly back to junior was the best thing the Leafs have done in the past 8 years.
No need to ruin another career like they did to Kadri and Tlusty. |

It's a great deal, low risk high reward, and I'm confident Hitch will give Redden a second wind to his career. |

I agree it was a good move. The way they've destroyed other prospects was not serving them well. |

WHY? Leafs already have a puck boy, a towel boy, a zamboni driver, a hockey stick boy, & a skate sharpening boy. I guess that covers all of Gomez's talents. Nope Leafs don't need him |

Agreed. Nothing wrong with giving him another season to develop. |

Kadri? Are you poopting me? He's 22 years old for (frank)s sake. Your number one centre didn't even come into the league until he was what, about 27?
Holy (frank), talk about people spouting poop out of their arse |

I know. I was the one telling them that.
Rielly is the best prospect the Leafs have had in a LONG time. Handle with care is the best approach. |

Its kinda desperate and very lame. You seem to be obsessed with the Leafs: Why not put your efforts into supporting your own team? |

I love giving the Laffs a taste of their own medicine.
I love the Pens but I'm surrounded by Laffs and Habs fans. Not a lot of Pens fans in Halifax. |

Everyone tends to get overly optimistic about prospects entering into their first season-no different here. It's not limited to the fans either. How often on draft day do you see comparisons being made to current or past superstars by the folks at TSN etc. When the nucks drafted Hodgson, he was touted as a future Yzerman. Schenn was the next Scott Stevens..etc.

AGREED. But don't give up on Kadri. He's FINALLY going to get a fair chance under Carlyle that he never got with Wilson. But yes the Leafs have a horrible history of ruining young players going well back into the 1970's. |
