actually pretty funny and kind of accurate

I just don't buy into Rangers as the top notch team in the NHL. They have 1 cup in my lifetime guys.. 1 in the last 75 years (most of those years with 6 teams in the league). you want to say I am on Drugs for being an Islander fan still... absolutely... but to put the Rangers as the Smart team...stop.

1. Redden and Gomez just got bought out of their horrific contracts.. both signed by Rangers current GM.
2. The only owner that could possibly be worse than Wang is Dolan. I am surprised he did not somehow hire Isaiah to coach the Rangers this year.
3. You're and Islander fan... STOP with the Ranger love.

Lighten up, it was funny. I don't need a tutorial I'm well versed. Thanks

Edit; and if you think Dolan is a worse owner than Wang you haven't been paying attention.

I guess all those Mario meetings are paying off.. I mean I haven't seen Cooke try to take a knee out in pre-season at all.. maybe it's rubbing off on rest of organization. Does he whine like a Btch to the refs after every whistle though? If not we don't want him.
- niteislander

Say what you want about Cooke but he was to clean for my liking last season. He might he's been a captain in WBS.

YOu can chirp the Rangers all you want, but the bottom line is there current roster (TODAY) is a legit roster, who is looking for a cup. You dont see them signing half their team these past few days via waivers. Im an islander fan as much as the next guy, and as a result i hate the rags.........but we have no leg to stand on these days. Sather has done a fantastic job as of late...

Really? This year I think they are. Good goaltending, good D, and a solid offense. Roster-wise, they have as good a chance as any other top team this season I think. As good as the Atlantic is, most teams have question marks or outright holes. But I don't see that with the Rangers, much as I don't want to admit it. Where is that team weak?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say because we have the worst owner in pro sports

We have a "bingo!". Butch, tell him what he's won: a beautiful oil painting of Dpesus pulling his groin for mankind. Kinda like the last Supper, but different (nice job, Chief)

Henrik is a damn good goalie(he is pretty irritating as well, hate the guy)but if they follow their usual MO and run the guy into the ground then he won't be effective. With that said in a 48 game season chances are he will be more effective than normal. They are true contenders and you know what? Good for them. They rebuilt the right way. Sather made some insanely key trades(after some blunders)and made some excellent draft choices and developed those prospects properly. How can anyone argue with that?

One thing the rangers lack is offensive depth....they will finish at the top of the conference but i doubt they take the cup...doing my best to be un-bias

. Yeah, believe me I'm no Ranger fan or Dolan fan for that matter. Dolan is probably one of the biggest D bags walking the face of the earth but they are where they are and we are here. Doesn't mean I'm a fan of them.

Useless. Another friggin Devils reject, as if Snow hasn't learned his lesson from the last three. I'm sure we'll hear about how great this is and how he'll help, but he won't. He's a decent player, but he doesn't try. Period. Being on the Islanders rather than on teams in the thick of the playoff hunt will not make him try more. Just like it didn't make Rolston try more. There's no incentive to try here for older players who have already made their millions. It's not a Moulson or Grabner situation where they try because it's the last chance to get their careers started.

- UIF

Disagree... Rolston never wanted to be traded here & when he was traded here, he was not given the role he was told he was going to have.

IF Gomez or Redden or any other free agent signs here, they are choosing to be here... it may be their only option (its not) but they would have signed a contract to be here... unlike Rolston, Muller, Vis & any other player that didnt want to be here.

Nash, Gaborik, Richards, Stepan, Kreider(if he doesn't have a slump), they have some depth. An excellent defense and a world class goalie. I'm not saying they are going to win it all but you certainly can't count them out on their offensive depth.
