Islanders just claimed another defenseman from Pitt named Strait. Why are they stockpiling mediocre defenseman?

Strait is a solid Dman and I can tell you that the Pens we're going to send Simon Depres to WBS so they didn't have to lose him. Depres was just to good this week!!! He's not flashy and will only be a 5th or 6th defenseman but he's a leader and plays sound defense. The only reason he wasn't in the NHL is because the Pens have to many bodies on Defense.

You guys might be disappointed though because he's not going to sucker punch anyone!!!

Oh no, I agree about deHaan...I was making a bad reference to the "When did X become Y?" running thing that went on in the previous thread.

I guess all those Mario meetings are paying off.. I mean I haven't seen Cooke try to take a knee out in pre-season at all.. maybe it's rubbing off on rest of organization. Does he whine like a Btch to the refs after every whistle though? If not we don't want him.
