So, people have a problem with "rushing" Nino, but no problem "rushing" Cizekas or Ullstrom? - potvin05
Potvin I thought a guy like Cizekas would be ready? I'm all for leaving him down if he is not ready though. I know Cizekas has had more time in the AHL than Nino. |

Cizekas is on the opening night roster, is he not? - potvin05
I honestly have no idea? I'll find out soon enough. I think according to our friend in connecticut NY178 Cizikas is the most NHL ready? I believe that's what he said? What's the difference really. Some more time down there wouldn't hurt Nino, I wouldn't object to him staying down there for the year and bringing him up next season for a shot. They did enough damage to him last year. |

No question the prospects seem very promising but until they prove it at the NHL level they are not 100% a sure thing. The fact is the Isles are still going to need to trade and sign quality FA's. I understand now signing quality FA's is not an option but some useful trades should have happened by now. - ses111
You hit it right on the head...right now these guys are prospects...that's all...What Clowno (Snow) should be doing for the next two summers is bring in two NHL quality players a top defenseman and a top 6 forward by trade or free agent...that's all he should be doing...forget about the Boyes, Carkner type of players..they're washed up...then sprinkle in some of these prospects and you have a legitimate playoff team... |

I hear you, doesn't make it any less repulsive. Good draft to suck this year. One thing we seem to excell at? |

Exactly right. Snow does not have to bring in 5 or six guys. A top 4 dman and top 6 forward. The prospects will make up most of the team. I think most Isles fans have not been overboard as to what they expect out of Snow. |

I'm not writing this year off yet, the point I was trying to make is that Nino was killing it in the AHL, so why not have him up with the big club too. Just keep him off the 4th (frank)ing line, is that too much to ask. I'd have him on the 2nd line. Push Boyes back to the 3rd line. |

RDP can't stay on this team unless he is a number one and playing like one. That means playing well and playing at least 75% of the teams games per season. He makes too much money to be a back up. If he can't get his act together by the summer, wang must buy him out if Wang is serious about building a winner.
Right now, RDP being on the team is blocking Poulin from getting a chance to back up Nabby and get some valuable NHL experience. RDP must be bought out for this team to move forward. There's no other way to state it. - Jethro09
Not to be a douche but does anyone here actually think he does? |

Give that man a prize Poulin should have been learning from Nabby this year. |

I don't disagree. As usual Garf makes a mistake and has a knee jerk reaction. He always goes to extremes. Last years draft is a perfect example. There is not much going on up there(in Snow's head) or maybe there's too much if you know what I'm saying? Boyes will be on the first or second line. He will be given every opportunity to succeed and then some. Garf has to try to make himself look like a genius. |

I hope you're right about that. Not that I particularly want Martin on the 4th line, but his game would be well suited for the 4th/energy line and a guy like Nino could do wonders with a creative center like Nielsen.
I'm sick of these (frank)ing scrubs they pluck off other team's waiver wires. What's the point of picking Aucoin up? I know he's not a bad guy to have on the roster, but we already had Reasoner, so what's the point? Just another body in the 18 skater logjam..... |

Would you trade Cizikas for defenseman like Cody Franson (or someone like him)? In the Canadian newspapers they really like this guy...not saying they should do it...just asking... |

According to Stan Fischler, Aucoin is good on the powerplay and a good penalty killer...we'll see... |

It's not a bad trade. Admittedly I've probably seen more of Franson then Cizikas. Franson is a pretty good Dman. He'd be a 2/3 on our team. |

I don't see him more than a possible 2nd center, but I would package him for somebody better than the guy who was mentioned. I would have put him in a package for Subban, that's for sure. |

Well, I would like to think he'd want to have the team win just from a personal pride perspective. Who the hell wants to be associated with a losing team? I think he wants to build a winner, but Wang just has no idea what he's doing. He makes bad hires, bad business decisions and confusing choices that in his mind are probably brilliant, but in reality are flawed and worse, leave this team with a circus perception. Case in point: the entire RDP saga. From the second Wang offered RDP that stupid deal until now, where he continues to refuse to buy him out, wang just keeps making bad decisions.
The circus aptmosphere and perennial losing are the two reasons nobody wants to play on Long Island. Yes, the arena and venue uncertainty played a role, but not to the extent that the losing and aptmosphere did. One way to get better players here is to get rid of the circus aptmosphere. Only Wang can do that. |

On our team, but what would be be on a good D? 3-4?
On the flip side of that.. would Cizikasisess top out as a second line center in a good line up?

Again, why is everyone so insistent on rushing any prospects, Niño, Cizikas. Or whoever, to the NHL? Just because Niño is playing well In The "A" doesn't mean he's NHL ready. I don't think Cizikas is NHL ready either. This team has ruined Bailey because they rushed him. Why not learn from that mistake and properly develop the rest of our prospects? There's a reason why successful franchises don't rush 19, 20 yr old prospects to the NHL. |
