Isles finish next to last snow and capuano should be gone no questions asked. If they stay it shows wang doesn't care about making the team better and winning. This team as is I have a feeling finishes last in the conference and 29th in league standings if only Tavares and Moulson are producing like last season. I got Edmonton finishing better overall. They look better on paper and in general compared to us.

I think that one sentence you wrote sums it up. After 5 years of a rebuild, this lineup is EXTREMELY dissapointing. There is no difference in the panic last season when they signed 4 try out players, to now when they picked up 4 guys off waivers. Its a panic move, which is a lateral move.........not a vertical move.

Strome, Nilsson,Poulin, neiderreiter,Reinhardt, Nelson, kabonov, mayfield all aren't here yet. It's painful,it sucks but they are building a team that can be very good for a long time. Not to mention JT,Hamonic, Amac,Okposo,Bailey,Grabner,Martin are all 25 and under, and Moulson and Neilson arent 30 yet. Their all star goalie had career decimating injuries as well which has set them back. It's taken longer than we all have wanted but when Snow took over this team had 2 prospect and that was okposo and Neilson. Now they are top 5 in the NHL in that department. Throw in the fact that no one wants to sign here, what exactly did you expect? Snow basically took over an expansion team.

And still running it like an expatiation team, picking up unwanted other team crap off waivers..

The clown (snow) cant make a trade to help the team if he's life depended on it..

The problem has been there way before Wang. Im not saying he is faultless, but people didn't want to be on the Island as far back as the early 90's

Yes...we have furniture stores in the area where I used to live in PA called "The Dump". At least theirs doesn't smell, and isn't riddled with open asbestos sores. All I can say is this: I sincerely hope that, whatever happens this year, this MUST BE the last season in that building.

They had Gabby and Richards last year.. ever hear of them? That was supposed to be the best PP in the league it was one of worst. Yes adding Nash should help.. but We had TOP 7 with our guys. You Can compare them.. sorry u don't think so.
- niteislander

OK. Let's compare:

The Islanders had ONE MORE power play goal than the Rangers did.

Their power play was 2.8% better than the Rangers.

How far did that get them?

Your hatred blinds you.

We have added grit with Carkner and have guys like Martin and Boulton but somehow Rupp and Asham who can't play hockey are better.. got it.
- niteislander

Ummm, Asham has almost 4 times as many goals in his career (92) than Boulton (27). Asham has 206 career points. Boulton has but 73.

Rupp has 53 career goals, 94 career points and has won a Cup.

Carkner is 32 years old and has one full nhl season in which he played 81 games and has played but 162 games in his career.

Rupp and Asham may suck.

But Boulton and Carkner suck more.

Martin is a great banger and hitter. But, he was a draft pick and not added to the team as free agent so I don't know how you threw him into the mix as you were specifically talking about free agents that were added.

You never seem to get your facts straight.

One good thing about playing the AHL'ers is we know they will go all out, and not hold back.

They know if they play well... they may stay up in the NHL for a bit.

If not... back to the "A"!!!

A beacon in the sea of Darkness!

He's played this season in BPort...team captain and second on the team in points, but mostly assists, and probably mostly from playing on the top two lines all season. Just my opinion, but don't expect much at the NHL level; he'll probably be sent back down when Bailey and Joensuu are back. He's older...like 27 or 28, so not a kid with loads of untapped potential or anything. What you see is what you get. Good for what he is though, which is a leader and steady presence on Bridgeport. I wasn't really sure why he was in camp, let alone how he made the final cut, but with the injuries, I guess there you go.

Carkner is horrible!!!

Finley is horrible!!!

Hickey will be a 5,6 defenceman.

Streit, Hamonic, AMac are the only 3 good defenceman we have.

Martinek is a 5,6 defenceman.

Vis not coming over has really caused some problems.

Yea, I'm glad you pointed that out because I really the Isles and I'm past being mad, pissed off, or angry.

I'm just a bit tired and disappointed at this point. By no means will I ever give up on this team. I just want the tide to turn. Sooner rather than later.

I think we end up with Poulin starting & DP backing up next year... whatever.. as long as its a means to an end with Nilsson as the starter in 14-15 im ok with it.

Yes we need a top 2 for next year... with Strait leaving us we need a #1 (Jones would be SOOOO Sweet)

I also believe the forwards will be fine

Both will be in the NHL next year

From your fingers to Garth's head

I want the damn Playoffs.... But Jones.... im torn. I look at it this way.. we make the playoffs this year... there is no sure bet we would make it next year... or the year after.. but add a D-men like Jones... wow

Nabokov in goal, Capuano says. Keith Aucoin will play -- likely means Reasoner out. Capuano says game time decision on 18 skaters. #Isles

Jack not starting DP? Charles will not be happy. I like Aucoin playing over Reasoner. I hope Hickey is playing.

I agree. If these are the moves so far so good from Jack. I want to see some passion behind that bench from Jack and if the lines are not working change them. I do not want to see another year of Jack just standing on the bench doing nothing.
