I was at the game on Jan 12th and I was sitting beside a gentleman from the Colts organization and it's being talked about. Niagara doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell at winning it so it's going to be an option.

depends on what people are expecting out of the team. Realistically, you can't have them finishing above 28th place, 14th in the East. Hopefully just ride out the half season, use some call ups here and there. This needs to be the end for guys like Okposo and Bailey. If they don't show something this year, out ya go.

Carkner is horrible!!!

Finley is horrible!!!

Hickey will be a 5,6 defenceman.

Streit, Hamonic, AMac are the only 3 good defenceman we have.

Martinek is a 5,6 defenceman.

Vis not coming over has really caused some problems.

Granted our "D" is different. But I cant say its better. We havent seen these guys play yet.

Martinek could last the season or last a game. There are question marks regarding Finley, Strait, Hickey & Carkner. We really know very little about them. We do know Carkner can fight when healthy. But aside from that. ?????

Will Streit bounce back??? Will AMAC improve?????

They may turn out to be diamonds in the rough or the second coming of last seasons "D" squad. Right now its all speculation IMO. But I dont see to much to make me think we've improved since last season.

And until Viz is signed sealed and standing on Islander Ice. He's nothing but a problem.

Sorry for the pessimism but after waiting nearly 5 yrs. That line up is extremely disappointing to me.

I think that one sentence you wrote sums it up. After 5 years of a rebuild, this lineup is EXTREMELY dissapointing. There is no difference in the panic last season when they signed 4 try out players, to now when they picked up 4 guys off waivers. Its a panic move, which is a lateral move.........not a vertical move.

We can talk about the building problems all day but the team should be better off than this. I'm not talking Cup but much better than this. Charles has created a lot of problems on his own.

Nothing worse than that sinking feeling before the season even starts. A new season is suppose to be about hope.

In net... I want Poulin and Nilsson.

On "D"... we need to add a top 4 guy this year, during or in the offseason.

Forwards will be fine... we need guys to step up.

Strome, Nino... plus we need another top end guy.

This is our transition year... need to make things happen.

Not sure if I want a decent year with an outside chance @ the playoffs or Jones or Mackinnon!!!

Also, who's in charge of PR that they announced the move to Brooklyn 2 years before its gonna happen and during the lockout? I would think the announcement should come before next season......buy season tickets now and we guarentee you availability in year 1 of the new arena.

I think we end up with Poulin starting & DP backing up next year... whatever.. as long as its a means to an end with Nilsson as the starter in 14-15 im ok with it.

Yes we need a top 2 for next year... with Strait leaving us we need a #1 (Jones would be SOOOO Sweet)
