Cloutier is getting us to dance. We're so occupied on who the goalie we're acquiring will be that we don't realize the reality that we're not acquiring a goalie today, and probably not this season. |

I think we all know that. At least, I would hope after hearing that Danis is being called up and Bunz was sent to OKC that people would realize it. |

I think Bishop to EDM would help the oiler out.
Unless the oilers want to send one of Hall/Eberle/RNH for Lehner, which everyone knows isn't going to happen. |

If the cost of Bishop is Smid, I doubt that'll happen either |

Miller and Hodgson
for
RNH and Dubnyk
maybe a draft pick or two or some lower level guys to even out.
- JVince11
Im not so sure if your serious or not. But the winking eye is telling me maybe your not so serious. But honestly im not sure that Miller and Hodgson would get you RNH straight up. |

when has dubnyk shown he can play in the NHL on a consistent basis. it's certainly not obvious when looking at his numbers.
bishop has had the misfortune of playing behind halak in st louis, and now anderson and lehner in ottawa. you assume a guy isn't good because he can't get the starting job in teh NHL, without acutally looking at the situations he finds himself in. - sensarmy_11
The last half of last season when he was one of the best goalies in the league.... i woulnd't expect you to know that though, most people don't know much about the oilers except their last 3 finishes |

dangerous to assume something based on how someone plays when there is zero pressure.
reimer was incredible for the leafs the 2nd half 2 seasons ago............
not saying the guy isn't a good goalie, but acting like he's a top end goalie is a little ridiculous.
and it's not easy to follow a team when most of their games don't start til 10 or 11 at night. how much do you know about the small market eastcoast teams..........that's what i thought. |

Thing is if they had any intention of picking up a goalie they wouldn't have brought Dannis up. - Lahey
Exactly - they'll play it by ear for now. IF it becomes increasingly clear that Rehab can't help this team AND Danis is brutal then maybe they make a move on a back-up.
I suppose this is the soft-luxury of having the AHL's best goalie last year. |

If Reimer hadnt gotten his head knocked I think he would still be good and still may come back.
As for Duby, he was one of the best in the last half last year and has followed it up with solid play this past summer and into winter at the Spengler.
I think the Oil should remain static and play with what they have for now and re-evaluate in a month. |

Hey fella no one's acting like he's a top end goalie but there is reason for optimism with Dubnyk.
He's scaled quite well in the last calendar year |

Our only concern should be Dubnyk. People worry about so much (frank)ing little poop it's beyond stupid already.
Our 3rd line center being overpaid, our #6-8 being AHL d-men, backup goalie being a drunk isn't the reason we are going to win or lose.
It's like a flat chested woman, sure it would be nice if they were bigger, but in the end it's her wussy that makes or breaks you. |

Well, I don't necessarily believe but a lot of pundits are.
This is a fun game. |

Thats not necessarily true... You simply wait for one with big ones... as they come around... if you look hard enough |

what a stupid argument. Earlier you say Bishop is better even though he has proved nothing in the NHL because he was buried behind star goalies like Craig Anderson, now you discount what Dubey HAS already accomplished at the NHL level... Homer, watch more games out of your conference |

A long long way from Lucic. Do you remember what happened when Lucic ran Miller. The whole team stood around hoping someone else was going to step up. - Dean_Youngblood
Foligno was playing in the AHL when that happened. So he wasn't standing around, he wasn't playing period. Can't judge him based on that event. |

Lehner is now worth a proven 1st overall. We got to trade all our 1sts for multiple 2nds and 3rds and hire Ottawas scouts asap. |

why in gods name would we trade away smid for a goalie we dont think is as good as the one we got? or before we've given dubnyk his chance to prove himself?
everyone goes on and on about edm defence. here's an idea!! "deal one of the proven best ones you got for some insurance that may not even be nhl caliber" |
