i agree i just dont see it. it seems like we are banking on hodgson and ennis to be our scoring line centers and mccormick or hect to be our checking line center. o and the enigma that is grigorenko. |

I hate him as well
but
it would make a nice 4th line and keep the legs fresh on the top 9 |

it would work in a season where there are 3.5 games a week
park his ass in the presser for the playoffs but use him to get to the playoffs
he would be hungry and that line would get 20 goals in 48 games and stretch the ice
getting ott out there on the 3rd line makes it possible IMO - homiedclown
It makes sense. In a lot of ways. He knows the system, he's on the ice less but can still be productive. It saves wear and tear on the top lines during a REALLY condensed schedule. Hell, he was solid on the PK at the very least.. |

It would be an absolute mistake to bring back Connolly. Even the Laffs knew that which is why they just waived him. He never could get going at all. I still see a trade happening we have 8 NHL ready D right now and I bet one is on the move, I see Sekera or Leopold getting shipped because Weber is the next Regher. Plays just like him and from what I saw at the scrimmage and some of the practices he's stepped his game up some. I bet he's even got more drive now that his friend Steve Ott is on the team. We'll probably ship one of the remaining 8 D for a depth center, or a pick. IMO whichever works is fine with me. If Pardy clears waivers, I mean mancari did and he's been lighting it up in ROC, we'll be fine with him as our 7 or 8th D. Right now it's quite clear what opening day brings.
26/19/29
82/63/21
23/25/9 (Grigorenko not staying is a HUGE mistake)
36/55/32 (gerbe and mcormick sit or get the IR for now)
57/24
10/52
3/6 (Brennan will get carted around at 7 cause he hasn't impressed TOO too much)
I'd personally like to see leopold stay he's got the leadership qualities as well. Myers is stepping into that leadership role as well along with Hodgson. We have a lot of leaders on this team that are up and coming so in that regard I think we're set.
I cannot wait for Sunday. |

Im not sold on either one but I Like Ennis.I think scoring will come from our wings again unless they expirement with Pommer at Center again and move Ennis to wing.Pommers still our most consistant scorer in my opinion. |

i get what you are saying that he will help increase our offensive productivity by having talent on 4 lines but buffalo seems to be making a statement by spending the last few years getting bigger and stronger. it looks like they want to have grit outside of their scoring lines and tim connolly does not fit the mold. although what do i know! i have faith that our coaches will put the best team on the ice that will not only help us win but not let us get man handled by every other team. |

I would rather have Bob Corkum than Connolly. We let him walk because he can not stay healthy and does not produce to his skill level. |

Not when the Buffalo Sabres created a friggin circus flying all the way across country to court Robyn Regehr . A player Pardy in my opinion should be replacing.
Placing Regehr on waivers in place of giving the roster spot to a much more deserved Pardy would have meant the organization would have had to wear egg on their face.
Regehr is one good hip check from LTIR. I just hope Pardy clears so we have him in Rochester to replace Robyn when he inevitably hurts that hip again. |

IMO you go deep in the playoffs by either winning games 2-1 or 5-4
this team is not built to win games 2-1
foligno, ott, kaleta and scott gives you plenty of toughness for the lineup and if staff and the gringo bang a body or two it's a bonus |

Agree and the new Ownership has impressed me. I belive we finally have an owner who wants to win at any cost and wont tolerate losing. |

Either strip the 19 off Hodgson or pull 18 out of the rafters. When talent like Tim Connolly is available you do whatever it takes to make it happen.
