I have no problem with Pommer being the Captain. I'm sure I'm probably in the minority, especially around here, but I think he's just fine as the Captain. But, Ruff does need to take into consideration that Pommer isn't going to be an "in your face" kind of guy and should use the A's to fill out a little of that. I think Ott could be a good fit, though I don't know that we know enough about him in the locker room to know whether or not that's how he leads when he feels it's warranted.

But there aren't too many captains like that out there
Others that can score big goals and bang around that come to mind...
Brown, Callahan, Morrow...
Not a lot
But I think unless u have a "Crosby" then most ppl look more for a guy that bleeds (literally) to lead the team

I have no problem with Pommer as captain with the way our roster looks
But if we could bring in a defenseman who plays like Ott, and can play against the top lines of other teams...
That would help a lot

I get that all the time. We always have some dummy on the roster who pulls that kind of crap, too. Guys like Kaleta and Jesse Boulerice (who got 25 games as a Flyer for smashing Ryan Kesler in the face) don't belong in this league.

Over a year ago. He served his time. Didn't seem intentional . but if it was him on the opposing team ? i prolly would have the same reaction as you.

Kaleta actually has hockey talent. He's not just a dummy out there running around. He's a very good defensive forward. Logs big minutes on the PK. There's a big difference.
