source? Everything I've read has been pretty vague ....my guess is whatever salary kept = cap hit kept. So if you pay half salary you keep half cap hit. Just a guess though.

Because the trade still has a condition in it if he resigns. Cant give the 4th without knowing he resigns or not. And free agency opens after the draft. So theres the potential of a better pick.
