those chronic groin issues certainly do creep up on a guy
- Dozzer

Hell yeah they do and all those guys will just be like "lol i uno legs hurtz" *sips mai tai* *applies tanning oil*

I can't remember who it was but like the Flames or Blackhawks sent a guy home a few years ago with "injuries" but it was more like cap relief for us and here takes ur moneyz.

sorry?
- Colin Dambrauskas

what i am suggesting is that the lombardi move was not only to free up roster space, but to make room cap wise for a certain high profile player

He's still a terrific goaltender and if the Canucks could muster more than like 1.33 goals a game in the playoffs their last 2 series this conversation would've even be a thing.

For sure...I didnt blame the Cup loss on Lu...

heres my ultimate leafs lineup, theyd of course have to trade for some of these players

tootoo-rosehill-orr
scott-avery-parros
carcillo-janssen-torres
gilles-konopka-cooke

if we got all these guys on one team, they would beat the hell out of the other team and score a ton of goals

- wingz4life

Pretty sad that's what ya had to resort to.

methinks it was an "incase Gillis comes back to earth" move...but also realizing how many players the Leafs have in their bottom six right now, too. Connolly is next...hes not a Carlyle kinda guy.

I think the last time Kadri passed the puck was 1983.
- systemtool

Have you seen him play on the leafs powerplay with phaneuf and all those guys? Excellent setter, trust. Has very good vision

See! My leg is all discoloured or something!

Or he "fails" his physical and is suspended by the team to Florida to think about what he's done for 3 years until his contract is out.

I was mostly joking. I agree with his vision and hands. Its just that I get really annoyed when he holds on to the puck too long sometimes and tries to do everything on his own.

Not at all the whole team collapsed. Two shutouts is impressive. However 8-4-5-4 goals against in 4 loses not so much. If Luo could've shut the door in one of those he'd have a ring.

See i dont like when people say that.

Tim Thomas was older 37-39 years old and he still owns.

Same goes with kipper older than luu, and brodeur, even nabby doesnt do that bad at his age.

- Mapleleafs_91

broduer hall of famer... lou has tons of games under his belt......
those goalies mature late, bottom line. Big lou fan, but I don't see him being this level for years to come

something is (frank)ed up here.

kadri with the knights .. he was all about play making... and worthy of his draft position...

it worries me that maybe he's trying too hard to be the star player... maybe he's become frustrated.. i dont know.. he seems to try too hard to be "the guy"

if he could only let go of that.

Yeah but thats at an AHL level. He kind of plays different with the leafs. He doesnt shoot as often he usually passes

EDIT: When i went to a couple of games last year when he was on the roster, he played exceptionally well, and brought a whole attitude of toughness as well. I remember when they faced the sabres and he checked regehr down. Regehrs a big boy at 6'3 226 pds, he was all over the ice that game finishing his checks, etc. And leafs won that game. He is getting there, hes gunna be good
