that second line is a boom or bust line.
i could see them doing awfully well or doing absolutely nothing.
so, let me put on my "cliche nhl insider" hat and say that second line in calgary looks like it has a lot of promise. they have a lot of offensive potential but will probably struggle defensively. i predict some flashes of brilliance but they may struggle to find consistency.
overall evaluation: good pickups for waivers (sven/bartschi) b/c i could see them go on some nice hot streaks. |

Yeah probably right. Backlund last year although struggled offensively played well defensively. Cervenka and Hudler when they return might change that up a little as well. |

He might get booed like crazy (he absolutely will) but I think 1-1.5m for a year, maybe 2 is a safe gamble for the devils. Would let Elias play wing full time again and who knows, gomez's career might be revitalized back where he started - Xnightwish
No need to boo him anymore. I think his spirit has been thoroughly crushed at this point. |

WITH A NAME LIKE YOURS YOU AREN'T FOOLING ANYONE EITHER!!!!!
Reimer is a nhl goalie and has proven already he can be great! All im sayin is give him a chance under this new system and if he can't get the job done,( which I and many others believe he can) find a new guy but if he does look out cause the leafs instantly become a play-off contender! Look at L.A last year 50 games into the season not even in 8th spot pull it together and win the cup!!!!Go Leafs Go |

Yeah all 16 people at the devils game booing him is really going to bring him down. |

Louongo is going nowhere unless some pays a huge unrealistic amount. Two goalies and depth is going to be the key to winning more this year then any in the past.
My money is on louongo staying until the off season. |
