i literally haven't locked my doors in 3 years. we don't even have a (frank)ing key to our house.

my wife locked herself out once, and i had to use the garage door opener in the truck to get her in.

. i live in canada.

also, i havent taken the keys out of my truck in 3 years.

If Luongo doesn't get traded I will shoot myself. (there I just tied this whole thread together)

Keep the faith, my friend. Miracles do happen.

We traded Lombardi tonight.

Stay strong.

And drunk.

It's a lot like drinking and driving.

There is no magical solution. There will always be deaths.

But things need to change. better laws. More education. A culture change.

And a helluva lot less rhetoric from both sides.

- Atomic Wedgie

I have to disagree with you also Wedgie. Drinking and Driving is a much more cut and dried issue. It is idiocy and criminal negligence.

The U.S. is caught in a circular problem where the right to bear arms is necessary to protect yourself against other people who have the right to bear arms. Now, so many people bear arms that a dead stop just isn't realistic.

Things are what they are. You make small changes where you can. Sweeping reform is as inefficient as my method of throwing your hands up. As I said in my original statement, the answer is somewhere in between and both sides need to get over their agendas and seek that answer. Until that happens, nothing will change, and the whole world will be embroiled in an endless debate. Humans are creatures of action, and would rather act brashly and exasperate the problem, than not act until they have a solution.

I think you are a reasonable guy too.

So heres my final sumation.

Americans are all about individual rights. me me me and (frank) everyone else. No country works without cooperation between the different classes. Do you ever wonder why the wealthiest and the most stupid Americans are on the same side? Its because the wealthy control the stupid with insane propaganda (fox news) If turning in all the guns in America would save just 1 innocent childs life it would be worth it. What angers me is that when these unspeakable tragedy's happen, all the loonies come out screaming "You better not take my guns or else". Such a sad state of mind to be in. On one hand i feel bad for so many Americans because their government has failed them because they spend all their time making policies to help corporations and not their people. America has been spoiled for so long. It is home to the fattest and stupidest people in the free world. If a kid grows up spoiled hes going to learn some very hard lessons later on. And that's what i see happening here.

Countries our size doesnt work. Look what happened to russia and china. In russia they told everyone to hand in their guns.. and they complied.. they were all shot when they arrived to turn them in. 21 years ago that happened.

Again. Ignored.

It is also the home to some of most brilliant people on the planet, and chock full of some of the greatest athletes in the world. Everything in life is a two sided coin my friend. Success breeds complacency, and I think that is what is killing this country. It's easy to sit on the side lines and take shots at the incumbent. Just make sure you have you stuff together in case your nation ever summits.

LOL!

I had to tell my wife that one... she is still laughing.

So damn true.

She does insist on locking the door though. I never lock it, or the car, it drives her nuts.

Rural America and Canada are very similar places. I think it's our major cities and the outlying suburbs that are the issue. Too many mammals sharing too small of an area.

You're kinda missing my point - I'm just saying people need to stop looking to do one thing (and only one thing) to magically end gun violence.

i mean, we lock our doors when we go to bed. i have an 8 year old daughter, it's just due diligence i suppose

i can't tell you how many times ive walked out in the morning, looked at my truck, and realized the back of it is just loaded up with tools. not a single thing missing.

my lawnmower has been in the backyard under my deck for 4 years. not chained, just hanging tough. don't think anyone's ever even looked at it
