i think in about the 8 months leading up to the olympics and in the olympics he was elite.. outside of that he was good to above good.

Ruff's a blooming idiot...his chips should have been cashed in last year. Yeah, the kid still has a lot to learn but there isn't much he will accomplish against inferior competition. He'll make mistakes for sure but let him learn against the best in the world. As for winning games for the Sabres, let's see how many Hecht, McCormick and Ellis will win for you compared to Grigorenko.
