it is only a .918 save %.. its not like he was lights out. he was good but not great. Buffalo is just unable to keep the puck out of their own net enough that it is good enough
- SabresFaninIndiana

If the Flyers got .918 from that guy regularly they would be tough to eliminate in the playoffs.

Funny thing is Bryz was 4-0 against the Sabres last season. He may not be the best goalie in the league but he sure is good against Buffalo. He gave up 9 goals on 110 shots.
- mickel25

OK.
well, since you keep track of these save percentages, what was his save percentage against the Devils in the playoffs last year? When it really counted!!

I was referring to the season ticket price increase math frenzy that occurred yesterday for the span of 10 pages.

What was Miller's save percentage in the playoffs last year? Even better what was it in the first round of the 2010-2011 playoffs?

Seriously though, I just looked it up on NHL.com. It took about three minutes to look at the game stats. Did not have the stats on the ready.

Not here to start anything with the fans of the Sabres just Garth.

Miller had a 2.93 GAA and a .917 S% with 3 wins and 2 shutouts.

Flyers that series had a 3.13 GAA, 3.23, and 3.43 GAA and a .904 S%, .877, and .862. Sabres only gave up 23 goals the entire series while the Flyers gave up 36 goals.

how did we lose this series again?

Because Buffalo brass doesn't know if they want to waste a whole year of his ELC on a 48 game season... and the fact that he is only 18.

He will get his 5 game tryout in the league... no doubt about it.

I am still curious if he will get 5 more games next year technically because usually it is a 10 game tryout but half a season means half the tryout time.

Actually, the Flyers outscored the Sabres 22-18 in the series. Buff won two games 1-0 in that series. The Flyers had under 3.00 GAA for the series. Boucher had the best stats of any of the goalies in that series including Miller.
