Then I hope Ray has the stones to go with the better player and if it risks Tangradi through waivers....so be it

I agree with this. I understand waivers play a role in decision making but I also thought you always wanted your best players on the ice. Not saying Bennett is the best option I mean it was only an intersquad scrimmage but he looked good. I'm sure he will get a call up this year and we will get a better look at him.

Well there you go Megna and Bennett back to WB

From Pens website
The Pittsburgh Penguins have returned forwards Beau Bennett and Jayson Megna to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Defenseman Brian Strait was placed on waivers and will be reassigned to WBS on Friday at 12 p.m. provided he clears waivers.

Agreed. I'm concerned that the D pairings are largely inexperienced and soft.

Yeah the D has me worried too. Ultimately it doesn't matter if Bennett or Tangradi makes the team out of camp. This team won't have problem scoring goals. However, preventing goals might be another issue. The way I see it, they only have one guy that has any pedigree at clearing the crease. Engellend should be better, but for whatever reason, he's not.

Is it bad to hope that someone claims him? I mean for his sake... Seems like a great guy, has some skill, but really has zero future here.

IMO hes another Lovejoy. Good guy, hard worker but nothing stands out so they are a dime a dozen. Thats not to say another team cant use them and hopefully they do land some where but at that level, if you dont stand out, youll blend in and be forgotten about.
