As I said earlier, I have reason to believe Weber to Edmonton this summer is completely possible. I'm not just posting a blog like this for the reaction. - Maxbone

Did Klefbom suddnely become a superstar prospect over night because he wasn't yesterday.
The kid has pontential but superstar potential. Think again |

Besides Weber wouldn't want to play in an ugly city like Edmonton. Noone does - Allstarzz
Ya nobody wants to play here at all. Eberle, Hall, the defenceman that was leading the AHL in scoring for three months. No one. Thanks for you imparting us with your infinite knowledge oh wise one. |

That's not a bad theory. The Preds would take on Hemsky b/c of his salary more than anything.
The Preds and Poille are savvy and shrewd talent evaluators. Two first round picks from a team that would likely look like a 25th or higher pick would not work. It would depend I think on this season where the Oilers finish. Many have you guys picked outside the play offs. With the compact schedule my major concern would be the health of Hall and Eberle. Otherwise the youth and depth at forward two decent, sometimes plus goaltenders one I think is getting better and an upgraded although still has some holes defense makes me think the Oilers make the play offs this season.
SO at best the Oilers most likely will be picking from 11-18 in this draft. Though now the draft lottery is truly a lottery and this draft is considered deep it is possible. My guess is Nashville would want a bit more.

They are.
They won't be traded, and neither will Weber.
Oilers are ranked 3rd in the league anyways so we don't need him!
- robin_steele264
Anyway, yeah, Weber won't be traded. Particulary for an unimpressive package like a useless player that rarely plays more than 30 or 40 games in a season, a B level prospect, and two firsts. |

I just checked multiple sites who have him as a 2-4 defenceman on most teams and has similar skill set to Marc Staal. |

And I'm telling you...from the man himself. Shea does not want to be in Edmonton. Likes it where he is. |

See, this is the right way to argue against a blog.
And I could agree Nashville might want more. Maybe add in Paajarvi, or Hartikainen, or Marincin...A fifth asset of value. I could live with that. |

He's go no NMC/NTC and Preds ownership needs to move him. He'll go where he gets sent. |

No, mediocre prospect. - prock
He's certainly not a B level prospect. He's the oilers best prospect now assuming Schultz and Yak have moved to the NHL.
Doesn't make this a good deal or good blog or Cloutier seem even close to sane.
But you are being disingenuous to say he's a mediocre prospect.
