Crazier things happen like trading away a player at the deadline to get him back over the summer. Or maybe you can trade briere to another team for their baggage.....they buyout briere and then we can resign.......if there is a will there is a way.........

The League is not going to allow Cap circumvention. Do you think another team is going to be willing to pay Briere millions of dollars to not play for them?

I think he means once they play an NHL game they have generally stuck... Giroux or Downie never did the 10 or less game stint and then went back to juniors.

Not only that.. the league just went through extreme changes with regards to cap circumvention.. do you think 5-6 months after a lockout ends is the best time to try to blow all of that up?

I would like to know if any of you truly view Laughton as a first round pick. I never compared him to Mike Richards. Scott Laughton has never had the offense. John Madden is a very good comparison. I believe Madden was never drafted and I also believe such players can be picked up in the second or third around. So was Laughton ever the best available?

He obviously was to the Flyers. Given their track record at drafting forwards late in the first round(Gagne, Giroux, Downie), I'm willing to give them a pass.

Isn't that subjective? And isn't drafting players subjective? Obviously in the Flyers eyes he was the best player available.
