Look more for Milliner unless a team in dire need wants a QB don't at this point expect a QB in round 1.

Also people need to keep in mind Foles ran a somewhat fast passed spread offense at Arizona so the concepts of Kelly's offense wont be difficult for him to manage.

After the Manti Te'o news, I'm not even sure Chip Kelly exists

I'm not sure I understand all the math you did there, but a compliance buyout next summer would absolve the Flyers of the cap hit entirely. I'm not sure how the cash calculates out, but I don't think the Flyers are too worried about that. As for whether they could turn around and sign him to another contract, I don't believe they can.

EDIT: I think I get what you're saying, but I don't think a bought out player can sign with the same team. I get a feeling even if they could, it'd be investigated as a matter of cap circumvention.

briere has 5m remaining on his contract after this year.....2/3 of that is 3.3m.....he loses 1.7m....sign him to a deal a 2m for 2years ......if they keep him on the books his cap hit is 6.5m....if we can buyout and give him 2m for 2 years we dropped his cap hit from 6.5 to 2m.....and I want briere on my team for 2m cap hit not 6.5.......after he gets his buyout money 3.3 plus 4m.....he will see an extra 2.3m(3.3 plus 4m=7.3m less the original 5m...) and I'm not talking just cap hit but what a player sees in his pocket

Players who are bought out under the compliance buy out can not play for the team that bought them out for one year. So if they buy out Briere, they can't re-sign him, trade for him or even claim him off waivers for the entire 2013-14 season

well that's that

Kelly loves running the score up, I'm concerned he will run it up on the Giants.

Don't compare Spurrier and Kelly Joe, at least Spurrier won a National Championship before he crashed and burned in the NFL.

I thought you would appreciate an Eagles knock c'mon now Plind!

Edit: upon further review, methinks this to be sarcasm now.

Word association time

Chip Kelly's offense is to NFL: what shootout is to NHL.

Foles will be sacked one billion times next year. It's going to be stellar.

You have to know that it's not logical to think you can buy a player out, then re-sign him for less money.

I traded Rinaldo and wellwood for Yandle and sullivan on NHL 13. You trying to say it won't happen in the real world or something.

smith may be the eagles qb next year, but not geno. i think the draft pick will be joeckel or milliner
- FlyerMike18

If Jockel is gone I want Star Let, but will probably be off the board by 4. If they're both gone, trade back and pick up some picks. I don't think Milner is worth selecting at 4

I could be wrong and maybe this has been brought to light. Were Redden and Meszaros ever play together back in the Ottawa days.

Yep. They played two years I believe. Not sure if they were on the same pairing or not.
