I am strongly debating Game Center Live for $50

From what I have read the kid fights and he is great defensively. If he is a clear upgrade from Rinaldo... i'm not so sure the Flyers hesitate to keep him up here. Just look how they have handled young kids recently.

Respectfully disagree my friend. Forget about Rinaldo at center. I think he is a perfect 4th line winger, with the large exception of discipline. I think you can beat the other team up with fists, but much more importantly with energy and big legal hits. Rinaldo, IMO, can be a top 3 player on the team in regards to the physicality he brings.

This team will always have injuries and I hope Rinaldo finds a home on the 4th line.

I believe Wellwood was struggling mightily in the AHL prior to Flyers camp starting. I like the little bit I have seen from him, he's got speed to burn as well as having some skill. I think he may have fell out of favor somewhat with Laviolette, kinda the way Harry Z did.

Make a Purchase? F That. Granted no hockey has actually been GOOD for me, as I am wrapping up my PhD dissertation. No time to watch anyway. However, the lockout pissed me off pretty badly on principle. I have not worn any hockey related paraphernalia since the lockout started. I love my flyers gear, especially my ballcap, but if you aren't putting a product on the ice, I am not giving that absent product free advertising on my head or my chest. I may change my view after games actually start, but right now I'd feel like a pawn wearing any gear after the way the lockout went down. Then again I live in Lexington KY and most people around here don't know jack all about hockey anyway.

I don't know that Wellwood fell out of favor with Laviolette. I know he struggled some down in the AHL, and was scratched a few games. Laviolette seemed to trust him in the playoffs last year. Regardless, it's another depth player that you know can come up and play in the NHL and help out as a role player, and on the PK, if you need him.
