I'd move him just to free up cap space....
and ice time. - Pen15
He's better than Connolly. |

He was recovering from an injury, having the whole season before that off. Did you ever see him play before that? Once he gets his complete game back, he could be a pretty useful player, penalty kill wise, faceoff wise, 2 way wise, speed wise. - ThePresident
That's a valid point...but I still think it's just wishful thinking.
Besides...we already have enough character guys on the roster. And I'd rather give one of our prospects some opportunities to see what they really have. |

It sounds sad to say, but Lombardi has the potential to be the second best centerman on the team behind Grabovski. |

Absolutely, he's terrible, but if I had to have someone holding down the 3rd line center role, currently choosing between Connolly, Lombardi, McClement, I'd pick Lombardi. Much more versatile, when healthy. |

What could they offer that would be worthwhile? They're probably looking to include Antropov |

And it also isn't saying much if Grabo is our best C...but you're right. And that is just the state this team is in.
If I were Burke Jr., I'd trade whatever/whoever I can between now and the deadline (excluding Gardiner, Rielly, Frattin, Kadri, Colborne, Grabo, Kulemin), and then I'd go head hunting for the two headed monster named Getzlaf/Perry in the summer... |

Wheeler had a decent year last year...and he was clutch for the jets down the stretch. I like his game. |

Id rather have McClement. Better defensive game. |

Why keep Colborne? not even doing well in the AHL. |

I still think he can put it together. He's shown flashes of what he can do...and he's still young.
I wouldn't give up on size like that too soon. |

He's still young but 23 is getting into red danger zones. Especially since he's not really a guy that can be an ideal third liner |

JVR = Wheeler...
Except that JVR is signed until 2018 @ $4mil....while Wheeler is an RFA next year and is currently on the books for $2.5.

I say they give him a shot to stay with the big club.
Sink or swim. I think a lot of these young guys can sometimes get fatigued playing in the A for so long...at some point, you have to see what you've got in them. |

He is having trouble fitting in the A, he is just not NHL material. |

That would certainly be ideal, so many holes in the roster, it's hard to even start dissecting it. Grabovski should be expendable, how he's making 5.5 million is beyond me, how do you pay your 2nd line centerman that much, it's absurd. Frattin is overrated, realistically what do we all think his numbers are going to be? I don't ever see him being even a 20 goal scorer... |

I'd give him $3...if he doesn't want to sign before the trade deadline, I deal him for picks. |
