From the master director of such gems as The Hurt Locker, the worst war film of all time with the worst war scene ever to grace the screens
- AdamFrench

I just dont desire to watch a "rah rah" movie about an event with so many questions surrounding it many doubt it ever happened at all.

and yes, The Hurt Locker DID suck. Even fukin Jarhead was better.

He's crazy.

I never saw Hurt Locker, but everyone knows the worst war movie ever was Heartbreak Ridge.

The Longest Day is still my favourite but I'm not a war movie guy, the The Bridge on the River Kwai is up there to.

Although not really factual (Americanized) The Great Escape is good, my top three.

i really hope we don't hear it was/is a groin strain... which would indicate that the skating thing - you know the thing that hockey players have to do - wasn't trained for particularly diligently....

but then again, Komisarek said he is now in shape - 'cause he hasn't been for the past three years... maybe both he and vrd followed the same regime... you know signed big contract - do sfa to get ready for the season.

He just took a shot in the ankle. Probably fine. Just a stinger.

EDIT - never mind. Ignore me. Just catching up.

Kubrick is not for everyone but I liked that movie. R.Lee Ermey in the opening scene alone makes it a good movie.

The Subban situation is one mis-step away from ugly. I still think it gets done in Montreal, but there are some crazy things starting...

Cant believe no one has mentioned Platoon yet. Yes I know Charlie Sheen was in it but despite his best efforts to ruin it Dafoe and Berenger made it awesome.

A Bridge Too Far

Dam Busters (not really known in North America, but still pretty big in Britain. The true story of how they designed a bomb to skip along the water when dropped so that it would hit and destroy dams in Germany)

Tora Tora Tora

And if anyone says "Star Wars", they will receive a seven day ban.

Gallipoli was pretty good, too.

I like that 3rd line....
- Leafland

So do I. I think that's likely stronger than most third lines in the league. Mac would easily fit in on most second lines int he league, and Frattin is starting to develop into a guy that can as well. And both are workhorses. Pretty solid on the wings. But Kadri doesn't belong on the third line.

I have to go: Full Metal Jacket, Apocalypse Now and Band of Brothers...which is a mini-series but it's probably the best of the bunch. The Pacific? Meh, good but not as good.

Inglorious Basterds gets a possible nod as well. Just not sure if it will stand the test of time as well as the others.
