I'm trying to figure out if the defense played really well or the offense played really bad. I would have thought that more than 1 goal on each side would be scored. In a way, I really hope it's that the D looked that good.

I also think both goalies played really well tonight, so hopefully that had something to do with the lack of goals as well. Miller was moving good and not fighting the puck. Enroth showed that he's a far superior goalie to Miller when it comes to handling the puck. He set some of his teammates up with good passes that lead to good scoring chances in the other end.

I think our top 3 lines played really well. And our top 4 D played well. Ehrhoff and Sulzer still have that chemistry, and not to discredit Brennan who was pretty good on the powerplay and Weber was lookin nice as well. Some of the young forwards weren't doin i for me. Though Adam was skating hard, wonder if there were any scouts there TRADE BAIT. It was good to see Enroth play well too, him firing that 2 liner to Grigo when he deked him self out infront of miller was a NICE tape to tape pass. Good to see. I think we end up trading a D man outta here, Maybe sekera. And Brennan makes the squad. But overall what should be the opening line up come sunday I thought played well.

The ott grigorenko and leino line looked really really nice. Leino was setting up some awesome plays and grigorenko seemed to be in the right spot every time. Ott was great on that line lots of added gritt and and net presence.
- LookAlive89

Complimentary players on that line. Reminds me of the last line Leino had success on.

Ott- sandpaper (Hartnell)
Grigorenko - playmaker (Briere)
Leino is Leino -puck possession mostly

my buddy said he thought Sekera looked better than Regher...other than that he agreed with Hodgson and Grig
- Homer

I think Sekera played pretty well. Leo had a pretty crappy night. Whiffed on a few nice shots.

My issue with Sekera is, and always will be, that he gets good opportunities to shoot with nobody between him and the net, and he never actually shoots. It's like he panics or something. He inevitably ends up holding onto the puck too long and either gives it away, or shoots it right into the guy standing 2 feet away causing it to bounce off of him and out of the zone. And yes, he had a few of those moments tonight.

I'm pretty sure he was playing forward. My guess would be they're not going to dress him as a Dman since we already have so many. Plus you don't want to short yourself a guy for 5 mins because he got in a fight.

Oh, I know. Trust me, I chuckled when I read it.

I was simply pointing out he'll probably be a forward when he does get to play.

Winnipeg only had 5000 and they were making a big deal out of how many showed up. They thought it was awesome. Guess we proved them wrong.

He isn't....just a finger "injury" so he could still get paid during the lockout.

Ahhh.....

So I had another moment today that made me realize how awesome Pegula is.

A friend of mine has a brother that works for the Cleveland Browns. He was the Vice President of Corporate Sales and Service. He busted his ass all season to show the new owners that he deserved to keep his job. Instead, they decided to get rid of all of the management and go with their own guys. I have to say, I'm a bit bummed for him now. It just floored me because Pegula is pretty much the complete opposite of that. I don't know that 1 person (other than Larry Quinn) lost their job when Pegula took over.

He turns it over more than Ryan Fitzpatrick. That's why my friends call him "Tragic."

Flynn looked ok thought he skated well, Foligno was ok but I thought Ennis was the best on that line, Myers wasn't very noticeable tonight. Too hard to judge in a scrimmage, a lot of players coasting.

Raise your hand if you wanted Terry to clean house after buying the team.

You wanted the guys making the player decisions changed. This is a guy that does marketing. He has nothing to do with the players or how the team itself is run. Considering that the team there isn't very good, he certainly has had his work cut out for him. It just sucks that they felt it necessary to clean house and bring in their own guys.

I think Flynn could end up being a great find. He's still going to need some time in the A, but that could really turn out to be a steal.

Ennis was all over the place. Just wish his line could have gotten a goal.

Myers had a nice hit on Foligno and had a really nice chance at the end of regulation that Miller got his glove on.
