Music to my ears...

3 players that need to be stand out players this year. I would be curious of who the "ghosts" were.

John Vogl said Grigorenko, Hodgson, Regehr were "most noticeable."

Can't believe I haven't heard about Mike Paul Coffey Weber.

- PassionBucket16

I was there tonight too, I thought the Grigo,Ott,Leino line looked really good together. Grigo has to stay IMO he's too talented to send back to juniors. I also thought Ennis skated really well and looks game ready.

You weren't here earlier this afternoon, were you?

Got there at 5 pm , left at 8 . I actually checked out license plates walking to and from the arena ( parked just past the Casino ). As I was curious about the Canadian factor myself . Not near as high as percentage Canadian plates as you see at Galleria or the outlet mall on weekends

Homer I think Leo has to be the guy to ship out as far as netting a decent return, also think Pardy and Weber both looked good tonight.

I honestly felt like he looked like he always does. Mostly unnoticeable. Minus a play or two that seem like a bad idea.

This may sound crazy, but other than Pardy getting tangled up with Grigs at one point behind the net, I didn't really notice him.

Seeing as how he's a defensive minded defenseman, that's not a bad thing.

When healthy, the forward lines need to be:

26-19-29
82-63-21
23-25-9
42-55-36

Please god. Get rid of Ellis and McCormick. Scott can come in for Gerbe when we need him to beat the crap out of someone, aka less than 5 times this year.

Speaking of people who need to beat the crap out of someone....

Scott is a TERRIBLE skater. He totally got burned on the first goal. Watching him try and get back in the play was painful

The ott grigorenko and leino line looked really really nice. Leino was setting up some awesome plays and grigorenko seemed to be in the right spot every time. Ott was great on that line lots of added gritt and and net presence. The top 6 of 26/19/29 and 82/63/21 looked nice as well. Lots of pressure and good cycling. Vanek almost looked like was doing too much at times but his net presence was great. Our D looks healthy as ever, Ehrhoff joined the rush a few times and Myers ankle DEFINITELY not a problem. And to wrap it up, both goalies look calm and reposed. I cannot wait for this team to hit the ice versus Philly sunday. Lets go boys.

Agreed scott looked real real slow. He's got good heart to go out there for a fight, but too slow to make the opening day. He'll get Ice time though.

Dude isn't really good at hockey, I loved when the Hawks used to play him against us. He could barely take and make a pass.

I'm trying to figure out if the defense played really well or the offense played really bad. I would have thought that more than 1 goal on each side would be scored. In a way, I really hope it's that the D looked that good.

I also think both goalies played really well tonight, so hopefully that had something to do with the lack of goals as well. Miller was moving good and not fighting the puck. Enroth showed that he's a far superior goalie to Miller when it comes to handling the puck. He set some of his teammates up with good passes that lead to good scoring chances in the other end.

Ya don't say? Our 6'8 270 lb goon isn't a norris trophy candidate?

He probably will. There were a few times where he just looked like he had no clue what was going on either. The sad part is, my expectations were really low for him. I was hoping that he would prove me at least a little bit wrong. Boy did he ever prove that my fears were justified.

I'm pretty sure he was playing forward. My guess would be they're not going to dress him as a Dman since we already have so many. Plus you don't want to short yourself a guy for 5 mins because he got in a fight.

Important to have Ott alongside Grigrorenko so no one will mess with him hopefully. God I hope he sticks with the team.
