Agreed with Colorado, they still can't seem to find a coach that fits well so it might just be the core of players.
I'm a believer in the advanced metric stats(the Yost stuff) and so I like the Garrison signing and believe that he'll be worth the money even if he doesn't score 10 goals a year. Hamhuis has been great and Edler is a very good offensive d-man. Bieksa IMO is a little overrated since he's only been able to play good hockey with Willie Mitchell and Dan Hamhuis in his entire career.
Barker is awful, still don't get that signing even for depth. Vandermeer I don't mind as an 8th d-man. - Nucker101
I'm just not a fan of giving 28 year olds who have one good year a contract like that. Look at Gomez, Drury, Redden, Volchenkov who were actually having a few good seasons, it took what 1 year into their deals to realize they were mistakes?
I agree on Barker, he brings very little. Be different if he could help a PP or something but does nothing. Vandy however is a decent #8 as you say.
