I want Luongo . . . . AFTER he has been bought out signed to a reasonable contract in length and term. |

Now Edler is better than Weber!
edit: all the good on that team is from Burke and Nonis.
Amazing how Gillis hasn't been able to do anything with the core they put there... and how few fans actually recognize their contribution. - Feeling Glucky?
The next "good value" contract that Burke/Nonis sign a player to will be their first in the salary cap era. The difference between Nonis and Gillis is that Nonis never would have been able to keep Kesler/Edler/Sedins with their increased earning power in the years after he left.
Grabovski 5.5. Connolly 4.75, MacArthur 3.25, Phaneuf 6.5, Komisarek 4.5.
Sedins 6.1, Kesler 5, Bieksa 4.6, Hamhuis 4.5, Edler 3.25 |

luongo get traded yet.. - wingz4life
Yes, to the leafs.
And his contract was such a non-problem that every OTHER team in the league had to throw in a 2nd. That's how valuable Luongo and his contract is. |

The trade price for a 27 year old Luongo, who subsequently signed a 4 yr / 27 mill extension: post-Moore incident Bertuzzi + Lucas Krajicek + Alex Auld. I would be amenable to a similar deal, but a little bit less since he's now 33, not 27. |

Luongo 4,000 years @ 8 Bazillion dollars past his prime. |

The only trades I want to see this season are small ones that open spots for the young guys. Bottom 6 for late picks or something. |

As much as I loathe fan trade proposals, Kessel for Getzlaf isn't all that crazy.
In fact, I'd say the Ducks would have to sweeten the pot. - Atomic Wedgie
Yeah, I think the Ducks would jump on that if they know that Getzlaf will not re-sign prior to July 1st. |

So what, the games broadcasts are on other radio stations but 640's just going to bring Andy on after the game?
I used to listen to 640 all the time, man did they ever bail on sports and go all politics. They used to have a lot of great sports guys. It's like they fired every decent person there. The only thing I can stand on 640 now is Andy and the conspiracy poop late at night.
Poor 640, they go from covering the Leafs as their bread and butter to supporting Rob Ford, these guys can't pick something that's not a trainwreck |

What complete bullshyt example. Why don't you include the years that each of those contracts were signed as well as the associated terms?
You'll see that that Vancouver's signs aren't as good as you make them out to be. |

Still counts on our cap, although that's not a big issue (got room and done at end of year) |

Yeah, not worried about the cap. Just want his roster spot free, and since I'm a nice guy i don/'t want to see him sitting on the pine and rotting. Give him a chance in a different city. |
