Westgarth, Nolan, or King from LA's 4th line. They just traded Westgarth. Im sure we could have traded 1 of our D-men for one of their 4th liners. - ImThatGuy
Think Nolan would be happy in buffalo?? |

Unfortunately because of our coach sporting a HUGE chubby for Weber and because he is scared to think outside the box for once Weber will be in Buffalo as a 6/7. - Pairo11

That is not the only reason my friend.
Weber will earn that spot. Is already in the process of doing so I feel anyway. |

As much as i would love to see Grigorenko stick this year past his 10 game tryout.. I just don't see them wasting a year of his ELC on 38 more games and hopefully the playoffs. If it wasn't shortened I could see it but I don't know.
Where is McCormick? I hope he regains his form as our 4C because in 2010 he was very good in this role and is paid accordingly. |

He should be happy to play anywhere. When you are a 4th line guy you play every night, because if not it will be your last.
Granted Nolan is a 4th liner that could play 3rd line min in spot duty. |

Westgarth is respectable yes... but Scott washed the windows with his blood. I don't exactly see Lucic or Thornton saying to themselves... "well.. I better lay off of Vanek, Pommer, and/or Miller tonight... I just don't feel like getting in a fight with Westgarth." |

Again Scott > fighting then anyone in the league, but Westgarth is one tough dude, and he can play some. Plus he has a ring and knows what it takes to get there.
Cant it be said that Westgarth actually had the marbles to stand up to Scott? |

Agreed. He'll earn it the same way as Jochen. Lindy got a hard-on for both.
And this is why we fail.

Wait... so let me get this straight...
Westgarth only was suited up for 25 games all of last season while Scott was suited up for 36... Westgarth didn't even suit up for a game after Feb 16th. No playoffs.
They both have 5 career points but Scott has played in about 50 more games.
I don't follow.

Not big body guy....just a smooth, makes very few mistakes, good hockey IQ but wont wow you with any part of his game. |

In that order??
I have always wanted Regehr and Myers to be on the line together.
Leo and Sekera seem too soft to play together. No one is partically great at defense but Leo was pretty good. |

Look at the difference in Roster. The Kings are far more physical and far more talented than BUF.
Almost the entire Kings roster is willing to stick up for themself. That cant be said here. So yes I think Westgarth would be better suited for a 4th line here than John Scott.
Zenon Konopka for a 4th liner would have been better. I can continue with names if you would like.

it is not the only reason.. we currently have one player that came into the NHL as a center and that one player has played less than 100 games.. |

I am not going to argue about 4th liners... I don't think Scott is a talent in hockey.. but he is a talent at protection.
I liked Konopka a whole lot too because he is a great faceoff guy but he was a healthy scratch for Ottawa for ALOT of games last year too.
and yes... Kings>Sabres. Before this past season they looked like they were falling apart... a ton of talent but couldn't win it. |
