I\'m curious why this was allowed by the Sabres in the past, and what\'s changed. As soon as Lucic ran Miller, there should have been 5 guys that did not allow him to leave the ice without the use of a stretcher. So, let\'s say Ott is out against him (I don\'t see Scott\'s line matching up with Lucic); okay, so that\'s still 1 guy that would go after him, and as much as I like Ott, I don\'t see him whooping Lucic. If they didn\'t go after him, the other option is to take that little rat Kaleta and him have \"trip\" into Thomas\' knees...but I don\'t see why that would happen this time around.

Look, I know it\'s a change, and that the Sabres are a grittier team. I just still don\'t see them as a \"tough\" team to compete with team like Boston, Philadelphia, or even the Rangers.

this.. they have prospects that make them tougher (McNabb, Zemgus, Kea and i would guess McCabe would step up if needed), but the addition of Ott and the subtraction of Roy and Goose does not automatically make us tougher and if they try to beat these teams with toughness we are screwed...

as long as Matt f'ing Ellis is in the lineup we can improve

hmm... McNabb who is an all defensive d-man and Brennan who is a stronger offensive but not totally not defensive dman..

McNabb with 18 points is actually impressive if you ask me. McNabb is younger too. Brennan is a short stack too ain't he? Listed at 6'0 maybe? so probably 5'10?

i am not trying to argue McNabb>Brennan I am just making sure I got the facts on them.

I get it, It's just Brennan is lighting it up in the AHL, not to mention until a week ago there were plenty of NHL regulars playing their as well. I just think people are a little too quick to fall in love with Mcnabb and write Brennan off. I think people think Mcnabb is younger than he is

Homer is on the Scott bandwagon... I love it.

Scott is not a hockey player.. he will not play more than 3 minutes a game. He sits on the end of the bench and watches. When someone takes a cheap shot or the team needs an emotional boost... Scott enters the ice and punches someones head off.

It might take a few games but teams will learn that you can't mess with our guys any more. Scott won't suit up every game but I do assume he is one the ice against Toronto, Boston, Philly, Montreal, NJD, and NYR. Car, NYI, OTT, PITT, TBL, FLA, WSH, and WPG he will probably sit and McCormick, Kaleta, and Ott will take out the trash.

We have a team that is known for being softer than cat poop outside on a hot arizona day... and we have no legit fighters who instill fear into an opponent. Now we have Ott and Kaleta as agitators but they still don't have to risk injury by fighting too much so we have Scott who is the undisputed champion of fights.

you don't need a good fighter, you just need someone with some pride and willing to keep the other teams players honest. They are out there you just have to find them we have a bunch of turtling wusses.

Unfortunately because of our coach sporting a HUGE chubby for Weber and because he is scared to think outside the box for once Weber will be in Buffalo as a 6/7.

Westgarth, Nolan, or King from LA's 4th line. They just traded Westgarth. Im sure we could have traded 1 of our D-men for one of their 4th liners.
