Hmm....Leo can play in any situation...Brennan does one thing well.
- Homer

I am not sold on Brennan. What a player does in the AHL does not mean it will transition to the NHL. When Brennan was called up last year.. he didn't do anything really impressive to me that warranted the amount of attention he is getting now. McNabb seemed really in place, at game speed, smart, and using his big body.

I think you are spot on, unless they trade someone.... I mean EK did say the Kings wanted Leopold...

30,000+ tickets sold....all Canadians.

Welcome to Buffalo, Ontario.

- keatondixon

I bought $1200 worth of those 30,000 and I live in Buffalo. But since you think the whole "Buffalo, Ontario" thing is offensive I will play along.

Take whatever team you like and draw a circle around the city. That is your "fan base". Well ours being a border city includes, wait for it...ONTARIO!

So lets be honest for a moment...

What is the realistic idea of what we need if we trade Leo or Sekera??

Are we still trying to fit our 1C? Do we need just another 20G scorer to put in our top 9? Are we looking for that solid 3C?

I personally want a gritty winger who pots 20gs and would be great on our 3W.

Good question...
Honestly, if the current team plays up to it's potential, all they are missing is a super star.

The only wing i may upgrade is stafford.

Ask Brain McGratten about that.

Who is that useless "enforcer" you had last year and still might that Kassian dropped last year?

- Homer

Tom Sestito. Haven't seen him play much, and I don't think he's all that great (did beat Boyle and Thorburn). Dude should be in the AHL, not NHL.

And didn't Peters try to fight Ray Emery? And didn't Emery just laugh at him? I'll say one thing for Peters though: for some reason, he had George Parros all figured out. He might not be "the worst" ever, but for all the time he had in the league, he just never seemed all that good at it. Maybe I'm wrong.
Also, I swear to God I'm not trying to troll this thread.

You must not watch Brennan, he's an all around decent player with a shot that might be better than Hoff's. He has grit, will play physical, can skate (not like Leo) and will hit occasionally. He is a younger Jaro Spacek

Relax Homer. Buffalo finished a huge 10 points better than the Islanders last year. Isles need defense depth with Visnovsky playing hooky

I'll give you most of that....he wasn't a great fighter for his size, thats for sure. But he wasn't the leagues punching bag either.

Now Mcnabb is struggling in the AHL. They have been grooming Brennan like Detroit does their prospects. People act like Mcnabb is 18 or 19, he's 22 next week, he being outplayed by a 23 year old in Brennan at the same AHL level.

I agree.. Unfortunately it looks like Darcy will be forced to keep him up or trade. I see him getting some PP time and a lot of bench. Which I don't have a problem with.

I hope he amazes us all and plays lights out !

I don't see us getting that Superstar via trade unless we ship out Miller, Myers, or Pommer... and I don't see that happening unless its Miller and we would have to get a good goalie back which would depreciation the chance of getting that Superstar.

I think our best bet is the offseason after this year.. not saying these guys are my choices nor that they will indeed become UFAs but..

Iginla, Perry, Getzlaf, Lupol, Morrow, Clowe, Gagne, Elias, and Zajac.

This organization really does have an embarrassment of wealth on the blue line especially when you look in the pipeline as well.

How old is Brennan?

Wasn't McNabb hurt for awhile too? Maybe that is playing a role in his play?
